There will be iPhones and social networks in the remake...
They'll just keep pushing more and more remakes from the past up until they come full circle in 20-30 years. Hollywood lost its innovative edge years ago. They aren't willing to take chances anymore.
Anything that doesn't fall under this will be man-child movies by Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler. But those movies are all essentially the same movie, so it kind of only further proves the point.
Adam Sandler needs to find a new line of work....
I don't mind more sequels tho. Like for 'Night at the Museum' or 'Expendables'!

No.
No.
Yes.

SO BADASS!
Un-needed sequels are killing the creativity and innovation in the industry just as much as remakes are. It makes sense business wise if they did well at the box-office. But isn't necessary, especially so with old has been action stars.

Dammit Kaiser! This is your fault!

Awesome!!!!!!!!!
Every time I watch this it's fun even after many years..
I would hate a remake though the original story they could have gone very dark.. I would have liked to have had it so David had to adjust to life in a world where time skipped him by, that could have been interesting. There's possibly another timeline where he is still on the ship heading to Phaelon....

The only thing good about NATM 2 was Amy Adams.... She added fun to a dull movie..
Having said that they did do a 3rd movie.
Wasn't there going to be an all female Expendables?
I watched Sneakers again 7/10
I'd hate for that to be remade. It would be so rubbish.
Gilda with Rita Hayworth 7/10 pleas do not remake no one can replace her.

Yeah, like voicing NPC's in a rockstar game that we can kill.

Yes! Yes! Yes!
I haven't even bothered about Pixels. Has it even come out yet?
Regarding "unnecessary" sequels, I don't really care if a sequel is necessary or not (necessity is really dubious here, since the only reason a sequel is truly warranted is if the movie before it leaves a hook and an unfinished thread), but if the movie is really good, I couldn't care less about that. Mad Max Fury Road is a remake and a sequel all rolled into one, but I feel it really works and puts to rest any complaint I have about old franchises being revitalized. Jurassic Park World, on the other hand, I'm on the fence about. I already have serious problems with everything after the first one.
I only like this post for the .gif.
Which Austin Powers was this scene?
Yes! Yes! Yes!

It hasn't, and I'll very likely never see it until I randomly come across it on cable. I can't help but feel that the trailer has basically given me the entire movie. If I want to watch a film that tickles the old school gamer in me, I'll watch Wreck-It Ralph. At least that movie makes me happy. Anything with Kevin James and Adam Sandler starring together is bound to be too high a dosage of dreck for me to handle.

I saw Wreck It Ralph on DVD having not seen it in a theatre and it was so much fun.. I loved it. I wondered if the humans in that world knew that games were sentient ... It was odd that they could see the outside world through their screens.
How many actual games got mentioned in the movie?

It's hard to remember them all off the top of my head, because some were just easter eggs in the background. Like, in the plug station leading to Sugar Rush, you can see some graffiti on the wall that says "Aerith Lives".

I don't know who Aerith is...
Pac Man was there as was Qbert, and that's all I could recall.

I like all those historical characters in a funny movie. I'm a history nerd. Amy Adams is shining in this movie. Ben Stiller is quite good in general. Much better than other famous comedy actors...
Haven't watched the third oneyet. It has the IMDb score of 6.3 (almost the same as the Original). So it should be kinda good.
And don't know that GIF.

There's also Sonic the Hedgehog on the announcement screen and at one point is startled and loses a bunch of rings, and there's a slew of Street Fighter characters, like Zangief and M. Bison at the Bad-Anon meeting, and you can see Chun Li in the background chatting with Cammy and again later with Daisy and Peach.
