Don't feel bad OP, for the story I'm writing I also hit a writer's block on the third freaking chapter. I'm slowly grinding through it though.

Just write. Even if it's crap just write.
Hideo Kojima's prose is nothing to write home about. Yet, he's considered to be a great writer and I think he is too.
At the end of the day, it's the subtext and message that matters.

Is there a chore you need to do? Do it. Your head will be clearer afterwards. And if it doesn't work? Well you at least you don't have to clean the dishes.

Is that your new resolution Recon?
Can one simply resolve to resist banging out that tight white plot?

Glad to hear things are going better! Although, I'm not sure... it sounds like you are adding more to your notes, instead of the actual story? I may be wrong there.
Nothing wrong with notes, but the end product has to come into being at some point. That's always the toughest part. Many story tellers are amazing at creating worlds, creatures and concepts in their fiction, but then fail to find a way to execute them into a story that is actually gripping. So hope the best for you! Keep on plugging away - writing is equal parts destruction of your ideas as it is creation of them.
Oh no the notes are kind of essential as I can keep track of two key races and character names... There's a few.. But it was weird I had been on BSN and out of the blue I had a flash of inspiration and opened my story notes and started editing them, and adding details . It felt right to do that too and very relaxed ... So must have been a good thing..

Whatever you're thinking about, well it's proof you have a sick mind.
