I get kicked alot when running my archer in Perilous before I even get the chance to show i can stay alive and put out more DPS that the others in the team. At least give someone the courtesy of a match to see how they play. IDK about others but I can handle myself as a lvl 8 Archer in a group...especially when they are lvl 20s (please promote and get better stats too while you are at it).

Morale: don't kick unless you see them play (at least)

Banner/title/portrait are good indicators someone has experience and may be able to handle themselves. Most perilous players recognize the 250 public matches played portrait and pathfinder title/banner.

If I see a level 8 archer with nothing, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but more often than not they go down 3 times in zone 1 and we end up wiping by zone 4 (enemies can get so OP when a player or two enter the fade 5+ times).

when you've played with SOOOOOOO many people who just get whiped and sit in the fade the whole game you tend to start getting sick of it. YMMV.

I'm not saying I do it, but I completely understand it.

Honestly, I've never seen the Lego banner in a lobby on PS4 and I wouldn't recognize it if I did because so few people run it. I imagine its the same for many players.

The thing is, I would think that people who are kickhappy before playing with you are usually bad. A good player recognizes the fact that someone at a low level is not necessarily bad because they themselves have played with a lowbie successfully.

Being an archer in the first place doesn't help. It's a newbies first choice in a lot of cases.

That and they die a lot.

You may well be able to hold your own but they may not want to risk it. A significant portion of archers are fade watchers as it's a class with a slim margin of error.

Yes, but a level 8 in Perilous. That person is either

1: Ballsy and/or stupid

or 2: Knows what they are doing

I play archer alot, it has high DPS and if played smart will stay alive the whole time (or most). My point is give someone a chance, the worst that'll happen is 1 lost game, it isn't a big deal

Yeah. It cracks me up. We generally run perilous. If I'm w my group, we'll promote in perilous. You suck for 1 match but can get 13 levels at the end.

Randoms I'll slum it in threatening. I was running a lev 8 & my buddy was running a lev 1 reaver. Random comes in, "kind of a s*** group. What's w the level 1?"

Told him to leave if he didn't like it...and he did. We went off to kill the dragon.

At this point, threatening is like routine for us. We have promotions. Dragon gear, whole 9... I am running the 250 Katari banner. I think Bioware should have the promotion # visible to all so folks know what they are getting into.

I only kick people if they constantly stay afk or don't play team.....

Kicking people in the lobby is pretty stupid though.  You never know who is talented until you play with them.  Not that I'd do it, but I'd be more apt to kicking a lvl 20 over a lvl 8-13 in peri.

I respect the right for people to kick in Threatening.

But if you're kicking in Routine, you're a silly nanny. Whaddya doin' that for? Private matches? Why not host a private match? That doesn't make any since, innit?

Given that I pug nearly all the time the talent pool varies wildly as does the gear/promotes. No way to see that in a lobby though, at present anyway.

I don't mind what you rock up with. The game is populated enough currently that I can always bog off and find a new squad if they aren't up to it.

Granted perilous is a bit tighter player wise but still.

I always have a lil chuckle when I bring in my level 1 to Threatening, and end up doing better than the level 20's in the group who complained, assuming that I wouldn't do well.  ;)

I see no reason to kick someone in threatening if they are a Lvl 1, I will kick you if your a lvl 20 AW in routine.....

Honestly, I haven't run across people who kick in perilous in a long, long time. At this point in the game I just kinda trust the low level people to probably have a billion promotions. Threatening has plenty of kickers though, for whatever reason. Pretty strange.

Everytime i say to myself "ok i wont be the bad guy lets give them a try" it ends up with me being pissed and the run failing badly. It aint matter how you look at it, in the end if you low level you are being carried and you not the one that "leading" the group to a successfull run. ( I guess you can say i am wrong in a case where you got an over promoted player in the group with a strong class at low level but thats pretty much it ).

Back when I was playing this game hardcore I would join rooms until I got one in progress.  Even better if they're using mics and I can hear where they are in the run.  I've never been kicked joining late.  They don't even look at your level and I can join on wave 5 and get an instant 7 levels.
