Kicking people you assume are bad

Depends on team composition. You mistakenly assume I'm able to carry all the time. I won't, as I have to play level 1's sometime in Perilous, and our team isn't always the same strength the every time. If I'm on at a carry everyone class and level, I don't bother to check, but if the team composition isn't strong enough to do the job, I am definitely going to fix that.

The game is not forgiving to pugs that become pincushions on Perilous, and neither am I. If you want to go get yourself killed and make the game more difficult for everyone else, you're free to play in another game.

No, I do not mistakenly assume that you personally can carry all the time, the point is that this game does NOT require you to run with a perfectly min/maxed team composition with perfect min/maxed builds.

The point being made is that IF a team can carry a Level 1, and you clearly agree with me that a team CAN do that as you mention in your own post here and others in this thread that you are often that Level 1 or you encourage others in your teams to bring in their Level 1, so again IF a team can carry a Level 1 successfully, then there is no reason to demand that a Hunter simply cannot join because you feel that particular class cannot contribute as optimally as another or there is also no reason to demand that a particular class that has not chosen your preferred build cannot join.

You have talked about a willingness to and you have talked about actually kicking players from a lobby simply because their choices do not align with yours and I find that to be an incredibly rude position and also find it almost ironic given how you have taken great pains to defend the Katari on these forums.

Katari was clearly a weak class that you worked to demonstrate could in fact be played with a high degree of success if one put the time and effort into mastering it.

If I kicked from lobbies based on experience with how others play classes and the classes themselves, I would have kicked you and every Katari from my lobbies for ages in the pre-buff era.  You would have been annoyed/frustrated/laughing at my foolishness for doing so though because I would have been kicking a player that could perform. The fact that I so rarely stood at the extraction flag with any Katari never made me feel as though I had the right to dictate who should be allowed to play them.

I'm not getting myself killed and making the game more difficult for others, I'm letting others play their own game, and when I've had my fill of players that can't get it together, I go looking for teams/friends that can or I do something else.  I'd rather remove myself than rudely interrupt someone else's play experience, YMMV.

The discussion was about kicking players mid game so clearly that's why I was "assuming otherwise". I said it was okay to do this after a game. Don't we all play for fun?

That was a description of my personal experieces, hence why I was so descriptive of 4/5 perilous dragon fight and the guys that kicked me then were douche bags and any other players that do the same, so unless you do the same it clearly wasn't aimed at you. Don't take things so personally.

I thought the original author's post was speaking towards getting kicked in the lobby with a low level archer, not necessarily mid game and the point of the thread was about kicking people before you see them play......  So you assumed otherwise because of what you thought the convo to be about, and people that do the same are d bags, but your comment wasn't directed at me?  I see, anyways by now I am just giving you a hard time and trolling...

my psn name is the same as my bioware name so drop me a line if anyone wants a game sometime, I don't care if you play lvl 1

s in perilous.. ;)

It's kind of annoying as i've been kicked several times from a perilous game at level 15 on my archer, and i have almost 100 cunning from promotions. I've also been told i need to choose a higher level character. And i have literally the best gear possible for an archer (all the top bows; purple dragon one, griffon, pbtm, cruel redemption, all the top accessories; long shot ring, purple HoK rings, purple dexterity and cooldown amulets, 100 health belt, don't have the 200 one yet though). Of course, in the lobby noone knows about either promotions or gear.

If I don't like the looks of the people in a lobby I will just find another. I don't understand what is with all the kicking people do. I only vote to kick if 1 person isn't coming to the flag after a while in wave 5 or if they won't ready up to start the game. I don't care if people use level 1 characters, don't care if we all are using mages. Group composition isn't that big of a deal. I may care more doing a perilous dragon but then I can just switch my character to a better suited one.

I wish they didn't have the recommended levels listed, newer or less informed people think it's a set in stone guideline. I don't have nearly as many promotions as you but I feel comfortable with most classes at 10-12 going into perilous. Why they would think 15 isn't enough is beyond me

I kick in lobbies if a person doesn't ready up when everyone else is. Beyond that, we have mute for the jags of the world (or if their mic is super-hot and picking up every little sound), party chat, and letting someone watch from the fade if they're too weak to hang in my scrub threatening matches.

The only time I ever kicked anyone straight away was a pug match where someone named CommandRAPE joined the match. I didn't know you could even get a psn name like that.

With regards to lobby Dawdlers, hosts are especially bad.

If you host, be ready to play the ****ing game. We are not simple vassals for you to command, get the **** on with it.

Do not set up a lobby and bog off to read War & Peace twice over.

Do you have any idea how busy I am?

Yeah I know I can just leave but it's the principle.

Definitely, They are just wrong. When I was brand new I went into threatening at 8 and got rocked. And tried perilous at 18 and realized that the guidelines were completely erroneous.

The point being made is that IF a team can carry a Level 1, . . . then there is no reason to demand

You still assume too much that success is guaranteed.

Guess what, I only demand when they can't. Some people want to disagree and believe that Hunters can carry themselves-- which may or may not be true -- but they can't carry others more effectively on a team scale due to the relative power imbalance of Hunter vs Archer.

Guess also what happens when I see a team is going to fail, I address the issue.

actually kicking players from a lobby simply because their choices do not align with yours

Everyone's free to go to another lobby. Better early than later (for example, finding out in-game). I don't usually kick after the game's started unless complete disregard of team strategy has happened.

I would have kicked you and every Katari from my lobbies for ages in the pre-buff era.  You would have been annoyed/frustrated/laughing at my foolishness for doing

so though

What's your point? That you enacted your right to selection? Good for you. I kicked many a bad katari in my era too. I still kick bad players if they're dragging the team down.

Unlike you, the people in my parties understand sometimes we need them to play X Y or Z. If they're completely incapable of understanding that (attempts will be made to communicate), they need to go away, like you would if you behaved as you do in my lobby.

I'd rather remove myself than rudely interrupt someone else's play experience,

"Waaah, I will play what I want, no matter how it affects someone else" is the equivalent to a childish tantrum. You're allowed to be selfish, as it is a game, but you're going to play in another lobby, because you will be kicked from mine.

Guess what, some people figure this out, others never do (or are willing to leave), and they need to be kicked.

I'm not getting myself killed and making the game more difficult for others,

You still are, If you're playing a kit that provides insufficient: Killing speed (dps), CC (debuffs), or support (buffs). Mediocre kits drag the mean down.

If you want a mediocre game, you're free to play your own, as all pugs are. You still don't get that and want to complain about how I run my party.

Doors are beneath an AW players attention.

You know full well the exit door is the only thing that matters to them. Apart from spamming Here Frernds every 2 seconds.

It always cracks me up when someone playing in a Public Game declares this is their Party because they happen to be the Leader. Now that I think about it, the only thing that would crack me up more was if someone I played with in Private Games did the same.

But I don't play with those kinda folks, life's too short, and I'm here for fun.

Yep. I play for fun too. That's why my Katari has a spoon.

I will kick if you are ruining said fun.

I really expect nothing from randoms. I have all weapons and gear I need, so I play for the fun of killing.

I like to win, sure, but laughing at people who take the game too seriously is also a great time.

I don't kick unless you're wasting my time. Taking too long to ready up, standing idle in the zone while the rest of the team is getting pelted with dragon fire/ice/electricity, unable to plant the flag. I've left lobbies when people throw kick votes on for no reason I can see. I don't care what you play or how you play or what level you are, as long as you're in the game, ready to go.

Yeah, it was aimed at people that do what I mentioned. My bad I'm past caring now :P Dude if this is trolling then you have a lot to learn, welcome to BSN. You'll fit in just fine ;)

That's a shame man I play on XB1, I'd love to show you how much easier promoting is bringing 1-2 level 1's into perilous. The guys I play with and myself are more than capable of carrying low levels :P I don't really do it with pug's because most of the time they can't do it unfortunately.

Hey man, being the pot ****** isn't so bad ;) I can see how that might annoy pugs which is why I don't do it but when you're with friends and you're always doing it for each other no one cares.
