You know, for a cover-based shooter...

Seems like wherever I go to catch a breather, SOMEbody finds the exact angle to snipe me between railings or through debris peepholes. Throw in eff-you units like Dragoons and G-Bombers into the mix and it's like: "Hard cover? Ha. Foolish mortal."

What irks me the most though is the kits that physically can't enter cover still get the out of cover penalty...

BioWare wanted players to keep moving instead of playing with their ***** behind a crate.

... there really isn't a whole lot of cover in multiplayer, is there?
Need some takeaway cover? Here you go:

Hide in a corner, place your own cover, let the team do the work.

I think there's too much cover in single player and a little too much in MP, too. What we really need is a cover mechanic that allows us to go prone, that would feel more realistic than conveniently placed boxes all over the map.

There's a lot of cover, it's just more effective to not actually go into hard cover 90% of the time.
That and BioWare decided they didn't want us staying in the same spot for very long.
But, but what if my character wants to get into cover any goddamn way.............
at the most inappropriate time.

You can thanks to the omnibutton. Just press to run/no stick to cover/no revive a teammate/no vault cover/no wait...squad member down.
On Topic: I think a lot of the problem is too much of the cover is situational and off balanced on location in some maps. Enemy wants to Leeroy Jenkins great any crate will do. Have that annoying device or center hack then you might as well ask what cover as it'll be just out of the circle or facing the wrong way or it just won't matter since the AI can thread the needle 100ft away

I think I got penetrated from multiple angles. Fisted, clawed, tazed, and shot to death all at once. Collectors Wave Ten don't play. I do think my escort drone carried on the good fight though after my demise by initiating neural shock all over their asses.

It's a good thing, otherwise all the campers would be thinking they're the shiet at this game.

Did you return fire to G-Bomber through faulty cover?

I'm completely baffled by the logic that you take 140% damage out of cover and 100% in cover. Like really? WTF?
Should't it be 100% out of cover and less in cover?
And there are games where you literally never go into hard cover even with kits that can do that, because it's poinless and slows you down.
