I kept mentioning how I had a vanguard-sniper build but never made a thread about it, so here it is~

Assault Mastery - Damage, Squad Bonus, Power Intensity

Incendiary Ammo - Damage, Headshots, Explosive Burst

Stasis - Stasis Strength, Recharge Speed, Vulnerability

Pull - Radius, Expose, Double Pull

Shockwave - Radius, Reach, Recharge Speed

Weapon: M-13 Raptor

Recommended Squadmates: Someone with shield/barrier stripping powers and someone with crowd-control powers

Strategy is simple. Shielded Enemy; stasis. Unshielded enemy (or enemies); pull. You can choose either a biotic or an incendiary prime, with Shockwave to detonate combos. Squadmates help provide crowd control and make your life easier by stripping shields/barriers.

A Vanguard without some use of Biotic Charge isn't a Vanguard.....it's just an Adept with Shockwave.

I had a -real- Vanguard-Sniper in ME2, before they introduced the cooldown-weight system...I used the Mantis to debilitate large groups of enemies from afar, then Charge + Eviscerator to finish them off.

Take the Indra, it is a much superior Sniper Rifle, and you can get it via save editing.
You can even carry a Disciple with it.

I think I might've had a misleading name.

The Vanguard-Sniper was named that because it was a class that used a sniper rifle and biotics. I only chose vanguard because I wanted to see if it could work on its limitations, especially since it's supposedly a close-ranged class.

Vanguard is a combat-biotic hybrid and didn't have charge in ME1.  The name is fine.

The last Vanguard I played, I dropped, Shockwave and Nova and took Reave as my bonus power. This way, if I wanted to, I could create Biotic Explosions and, I got that extra protection from Reave if I need it.

Because ME1 is primitive.
