I think bonus power evo on stasis would be better with vulnerability because you can detonate it with warp or throw immediately for more damage.

If you're sniping, I could see the use of Vulnerability at Rank 6b.

 

Duration vs Stasis Strength at Rank 4, though, I think Duration is the better choice.  Reason being, if you're sniping, one shot is going to break Stasis anyway.  The Duration upgrade lets you place it in a choke point, or freeze a Phantom or Marauder or whatever, while you rez teammates/grab pizza/someone activates a device/etc.  Lots of utility there.

 

Or you could be cheeky and Statis the Phantom > Swap out weapons to the Scorpion > Unload the Scorpion > Swap weapons back and the duration would let you do this in style and safety

I've used it a few times. The difference was mainly noticeable against Phantoms iirc, maybe Collectors captains.

 

Globally the bubble evo has more utilities.

That's my standard spec for the AA. Never liked bubble, headshots are much easier with the Vulnerability evo.

Yes to the single target damage. No to the AOE explosion except for the modifiers on throw and warp.

I recall Hoochie using it on the Volus Adept, and he swore by it. I can't remember if he specced the AA the same way. I love bubble roo much for all that though.

I remember trying it once. And throughout the whole game wishing I had bubble so I respec it and never looked back

No, but there is no bubble in your line of sight and they take significantly more damage. Which means you can headshot shielded enemies even with weak guns.

I never (ever) use Stasis sniping builds, but I occasionally do use Stasis + Arc Pistol to eradicate Phantom infestations.

 

The best PUG I've ever seen playing a Stasis sniper build was an Asari Vanguard with a Kishock.

I run my AV as a Stasis-Sniper ... with a Saber (nicely complements Warfighter Gear). Weirdly the trick is to not use much additional damage boosting gear for the Saber; Warp Ammo I and AR Amp I is ideal (for gold).

 

If you do too much damage per shot then the first shot breaks Stasis but doesn't kill the Phantom; get it right and you can kill a Phantom in 2 shots without her breaking Stasis. Granted you could do it with a single shot from an Infiltrator but using an AV/Sniper just makes for a change of style... actually she's really good vs Cerberus (except Atlases - which take soooooooooo long to kill).

Till date, it is my favorite volus adept video. It made me like the kit and move away from the last spot in the adept list.

Main difference is you can one Headshot kill phantoms in stasis on plat. With the bubble you can OSK them on gold (with arc pistol and warp ammo)

I have a Vorcha Engineer who uses Submission Net and an Executioner Pistol with Vulnerability VI...does that count?

I've tried that once and didn't really notice a huge difference. Duration and bubble are the way to go in my opinion.
