I've tried that once and didn't really notice a huge difference. Duration and bubble are the way to go in my opinion.

That way I'd rather use a Kishock plus the Bubble evo, you can one-shot everything that can be trapped by Stasis, while being able to trap multiple enemies.

Try the Vulnerability evo (4b, 5b, 6b) with a weaker gun, like the Carnifex or the Valkyrie. Then compare it to the duration/bubble evo and you'll notice that there is a huge difference, especially against shielded enemies.

I also had the impression that the Stasis challenge got completed faster.

That would be the least of my concerns though, just go Rio/Cerb, hide among the crates and score with my enhanced level 255 Stasis, the challenge can be completed in 1-2 games.
