Lash + Batarian heavy melee is one of the most extreme hatesurfs in the game. I am disappoint BSN.

 

Agree about the Kroguard carnage tho. I don't know wtf Bioware was thinking when they gave him that.

For me it is Phase Disruptor on a Slayer. It is such a cool power but it USES YOUR BARRIERS to do sub-optimal damage...i mean dammit that character is a Vanguard so it should be up close but it is so squishy plus both of it's other powers are useless in quick situations that it just makes no sense to have Biotic Charge but even without it you have PD which drains your barriers (which are also drained by dodging) while also having Biotic Slash which is like Smash and Shockwave but with the longest charge-up which gives the enemy time to kill you (instantly on gold with the Slayer's weak health/barrier) unless you spam it behind a wall which is just cheap and cowardly...now that i think of it that whole character is just awful in general...poorly optimized

i run sabo spam build on turian ... pretty fun to play and also not a weak kit ...


I like it with melee builds.

Carnage on the Vsol is pretty useless unless you want to deliberately run a non optimized build.

 

And before all those cries of 'you can generate your own FEs!', I said non-optimized, as there is no way you inflict as much damage going flamer / carnage / wait for really long cooldown over flamer

Of course not. I have yet to see a Slayer who doesnt die every 2 seconds on Gold if they have Biotic Charge, or who doesnt just hide behind a wall and spam Biotic Slash all match. Neither way is preferable and it is by far the most underpowered class i know of. Cool concept in every way but it just doesnt work. Try and prove me wrong if you wish but ive been trying to make that character work in every conceivable set-up since it came out...and everytime i see a Slayer in the lobby i sigh since i know he will be dead for 90% of the match or he will be a screen-shaking spam-coward

Seriously?  As in......SERIOUSLY???  325 extra Shields?  Taking you up to a whopping 825, instead of a pet which in combination with his other one can tie up entire waves of Geth?  I'm all for individual preferences and stuff but that just doesn't make any sense.

On VorchSent it's laughably useless. On the dodgeless BatSent it more than makes up for itself when I'm rushed by a Phantom and I leave a little SubNet landmine waiting for her. Hilarity ensues. Heads explode.

 

Hmmmm... I assume you meant Vorcha Hunter.... but yeah, SubNet is mostly useless on him unless you slap a Falcon on (ideally with disruptor or incendiary rounds).... and spec SubNet for area zap; you can get a pretty good stagger party going on - then detonate it with Incinerate.

 

 

I'll go with the general hive-mind on this one - Carnage on the KroGuard. If it primed for longer (or had a faster cooldown) there would be a point to it but there's just not enough of a window to prime with Carnage and detonate with BC. I tried it in vain for a few games just to see if it was possible but even without Barrier activated, using Power Efficiency mods, I just couldn't pull it off.

It's one of the flithiest kits in multiplayer. Acolyte, phase disruptor a few times, charge, dodge, wash, rinse, repeat. Slayer sucks ass off host because you cannot fire phase disruptor as fast and charge is hit or miss but a well played slayer on host is damn near impossible to outscore because of how fast they can kill whole spawns of mooks.

Yeah i'm serious, that extra bit of health has saved me a number of times. Why would I need decoy when I can cloak to remove aggro or use combat drone to distract an enemey e.g. Phantoms. Combat drone is a much better decoy anyway

I stand a bit corrected although that did try to be specific to the Acolyte which i wont do because it doesnt fit the theme. Still disappointed the class doesnt survive as a melee unit like the Batarian or Krogan Vanguards...seems like a waste of a Sword 

 

EDIT: After respeccing my Slayer this actually works pretty well...except against Geth so far. They melee stunlock me before i even finish the Biotic Charge, i guess it is a PCvConsole thing since the guy in the video didnt seem to have any issue with Stunlock. I mean seriously the damn Rockets hit me in mid-flight, combat drone missiles hit me mid-flight, Pyros hit me mid-flight...i mean im used to Geth being this cheap but damn my Vanguards dont usually have this problem

I really like sub net on the Hunter. I generally run around with the Arc Pistol and Sub net all the infantry. Headshot singles, tech burst them if it's a mob, also go with area zap as well. Shield Power Cells III and his Bloodlust it seems health and shields are always going up.
