I did some searching on youtube and found this demo of the game before release.

https://m.youtube.co...h?v=AAAEUFjq2K4

It looked very different from the final product , especially the camera angle. I like the over the shoulder view better than the typical centered one we were given.

I Would like to see my characters fight bad guys with the camera much closer to the action. Is there any way to change that, especially via modding? If there is a way to make in over the shoulder, even better...

I'd prefer a closer (or customizable) distance from the Inquisitor too. It's so far away! From the look of the demo, walking around originally had a much closer angle, but if you're in combat, I'd recommend targeting enemies. That will bring the camera closer to an over-the-shoulder angle. Hope that helps!

And in that demo I noticed that the wind moves the Quizzy's clothes... *sigh*

What do you mean by target enemies? I am playing on pc and i have yet to find a key which lets me target people.

Tab makes you target enemies (although the reticle has to show up on your target first). I haven't noticed a difference in camera distance when targeting though, I didn't pay attention to it but I'm not bothered by the camera distance anyway.

I've asked for this since the game released, I also tweeted at Mike Laidlaw, he said that they wouldn't do this. Makes me extremely disappointed but oh well...

Seems like that's the default reaction to tweeting Mike Laidlaw...

With the free-roaming tactical camera, you can put the camera pretty much wherever you want.  That close-up over-the shoulder shot of Cassandra using Shield Bash is entirely doable with the Tac Cam they shipped.

I'm playing on PC, and was also bothered by the distance between the camera and my controlled characters. It left me feeling disconnected from the events on screen, and not really as immersed.

Luckily, this mod is available:

http://www.nexusmods...tion/mods/506/?

Aegrus First Person Camera allows me to zoom in freely until I get the classic over the shoulder view, so the game feels far more like DA:O and DA:2.

But it also lets me zoom in further until I'm actually in first person view, same as Skyrim. This makes exploring some areas feel very immersive.

Sadly it's still in a beta stage and doesn't work when in combat, so it's only useful when exploring. The author is currently looking at ways of getting it working in combat.

That's exactly what I say to myself now, no point in Tweeting him about features we want since we already know the answers LOL. Now that they have been paid and received their awards I highly doubt they will listen to what we still want in DAI..

Cynical much? >.>

They just said that they're going to incorporate more story elements into the DLC after feedback. Most changes have been entirely a result of feedback.

a little late to fuss about the camera now, i fussed and asked several times before the game was released, my post were ignored, better late than never i suppose  ;)

One of the worst parts of this game is fighting with the camera, BUT they put the tac cam back, no thanks
