Blah, Blah, Blah keep promoting stop whining its that simple. Btw is was bio ware that suggest new difficulty for players with 100 promotions so I think they already got it figure out. Since they design the game in order to get stronger you need to promote. For the casual player you got Routine, Threating, Perilous and FC Perilous.
Taking Away Promotions (new difficulty) would not feel ... right

A difficult level that denies the effect of promotions would discourage people from promoting altogether. Playing as level 20 denies the XP reward entirely. What would be the reward over time from playing such a thing? Unobtainable Loot? Banner grinding? Skill building? How can Bioware keep the game alive for another 7 months without a sense of progression other than promotions?

However, as Space well knows, ME3MP is still alive and kicking - where promotes don't directly build your character's abilities. 3+ years after launch.
Could DAIMP survive with promotes not inflating character attributes, just giving you the gold to buy better weps/ammo/amps a la ME3?

If you want a challenge, try playing with just inquisition gear on. Use accessories that provide no benefit to your class.

I dont agree with the bits in bold, I dont promote and play this game still because I enjoy playing around with different builds. I know a number of players who are the same. I dont think Bioware should take away promotions but having a game type or difficulty were promotions isnt a factor would be nice imo
This is exactly while I have maybe 20-30 total promotions.
There are no plans to take away promotions.
Graham did tell me his plans to sneak in a Druffalo that has Stealth and has it's level set to the cumulative CUN/WILL/CON of the entire party. This means a four-person party of completely new players would face a level 120 Druffalo. Imagine a team of players all with 100+ promotions in each stat? Mwahahaha!

Druffy dont give a nug. Might make armor penetration and guard damage bonuses actually worth it, but it is still weak to panic/sleep, and block when not charging (which requires close proximity).

ME3MP had a well designed, progressive and meaningful Loot system, repeatable and grindable challenges, unlimited possibilities of gameplay (6 classes, 60 characters, 75 unique weapons that could be wielded by any character, customizations for weapons, customizable appearances for characters etc) and no cross-region restriction.
ME3MP is a masterpiece and it will outive DAMP. As much as I wanted DAMP to be ME3's sucessor, now I know it can't be.
DAMP has unobtainable loot (except for when Bioware decides to giveaway), one-time challenges, limited gameplay, weapons are mostly identical to one another, no room for customization, and region-lock matchmaking. Promotions are the light at the end of DAMP's tunnel that has kept most (hardcore) players playing. It just can't possibly be taken away.

Fine then: 1% extra armour and guard for each promotion as well. Plus, why not! Immune to disabling effects! You will all beg Lord Graham for mercy before the Druff Demon brutally massacres the entire team...

I don't think leveling down promotions to attain a new level of difficulty is the way to go. I've been fourtunate in running matches with some that I know have put the time in game to earn those promotions. Yeah, sure they have thicker skin than a lot of us do right now but thats due to time in game and "promotions". And yes, most all are skill players.I've witnessed so many tweeks here and there since I've be playing that I'm sure there has to be other changes that can be made.
To me changing the attribute stats of individuals to fit the difficulty level would be ass backward at this stage of the game IMO. I would expect most vertrans wouldn't like it. Just like the game changing stunt of taking away the zone 5 health font room from those late comers to the game after it was in play and utilized by "everybody" from day one.Again, ass backward. And not quite fair IMO.
I would think a difficult time could be had on a nightmare level by
1. Adjusting the enemy strength, number. ( Solo matches strength would increase by 15% - for the truely bad ass, put up or . . .)
2. Tweeking the targeting AI away from first aggro to strongest threat in the zone. Non stop. Pound & pound & pound!
3. # of revives available based on attribute stats. Range : 0 - 3 Example: all attribute points total 250 = 0 revive, 200 = 1 etc. ( see Solo )
4. Ultra weapon awards. The weapons can do massive damage, have fixed stats and last only X number of matches. Radomly dropped by
the person with the killing blow on the Boss Commander or Dragon.
Just some thoughts.

Actually there's already extra armor per level, and I think the guard bonus is tied to level (indirectly). Immune to disabling effects is limited to the DC, but that doesn't stop him from being staggered... which means shieldwall from close range (not charge distance) is highly recommended. Druffy is still fire vulnerable too. Druffalo's going down.
