I started playing like two weeks ago. I would like to be able to keep pugging if that is alright with everyone? Showing my prestige would earn me insta-kicks from 100% of the games and I would basically have no option but to quit the game. So, all in all, I think BW has done the right thing here. Showing load-out could be a decent way to do it, because with a 50 DPS weapon you ARE really hard pressed to contribute meaningfully in perilous.

That's the thing, you still have players in lobbies discriminating against competent lv 1's in threatening and even routine, adding prestige score just further alienates newcomers and that isn't what we need. i mean we already have elitists (0.1%) who are bragging about their stats and leader board placings...

As long as seeing others' prestige number doesn't crash my game, increase DC chance, cause black screen and other bugs (who knows), I suppose it'll be a welcomed feature.

I agree that it could possibly divide the community more. But I'm on the fence, there are some that would carry regardless and the 0.1% would kick them for other reasons anyway (power trip). I think that it would most likely cause the middle class to fight amongst themselves, "oh you are at 350 prestige? I'm at 400! Kick this scrub!"

And on top of that, people won't kick those who bring Level 1 and know what they are doing.

I wouldn't want to display my skill selection as I often times unconventional builds, but I would like prestige and load out displayed. I rarely kick people due to levels but I would like to know what I am getting myself into before the match starts.

My prestige isn't big enough to attract girls.

My prestige brings all the boys to the yard.. no girls.. girls! o.o

 

I don't really think this is an important feature to implement but it would definitly be helpful, there's to many pugs these days I see that join perilous dragon maps who have 5-10 hours total DA gameplay just to leech gear.

I got kicked out in a routine lobby with a level 1 character. It's not the first time it happened to me. Not only it was stupid for the obvious reason (what did these players expect level 1 characters to do?), but also because none of the other three players had relevant banners, titles or portraits. It was pretty clear that I was going to be better than them just because of promotions and better gear.

 

So, Bioware PLEASE let other players see my prestige score and/or gear in the lobby. Otherwise this ridiculous situation will keep happening. New players obviously didn't understand what my banner/title/portrait meant in terms of time spent in the game.

I think that some kicks happen because they^TM are not capable to create a private lobby - hence they kick someone who joins their public lobby because they are waiting for a friend to join

I don't remember the previous cases, but in the last one 1 of the other 3 players was on "ok" and didn't kick me for a while, until it was obvious the other 2 wouldn't play with me. So they clearly weren't talking to each other.

I completed the SP twice in Nightmare before playing the MP, but that's irrelevant because this game changes A LOT depending on your gear and promotions, as it has already been discussed in other threads. And players with better score or gear than you won't kick you in routine because they already know the game and know they can handle routine and carry less experienced players anyway.

Don't worry about strangers, you often play with high ranked players and you do very well! Trust me, I wouldn't say it if it weren't true.   

Now (I am not good at convincing people who have opposing ideas...), prestige displayed in lobby can't be a bad thing, after all, we all pug as Level 1s every now and then, and sometimes we may get misjudged. So ultimately we all will benefit from having others seeing our prestige.

Don't pug routine even at level 1 if you have some promotes

 

I will say though that I have been seeing a lot more bannerless players in threatening, which I think in someways is good, new blood and all that, but they all seem to stick at lvl20.

 

It is always a little galling though when you've put in several good games, been team focused, made the whole experience that little bit better, to then get kicked when you promote and figure you'll get a little love back in return

It's the fastest way to get the weekend challenge done, which is important if you don't have much time to play. And I don't think I have enough promotions to play threatening at lvl 1 without being a pain for the rest of the team, except with a few characters (virtuoso mostly).

The Avvar and katari work quite well at level one as well, loads of guard generation

Frankly, I don't care what someone's prestige level is or isn't in Routine.

 

You were Level 1.

Honestly if you join a team of newbies  with a lvl 1 even while having 1000 prestige there is a chance they will kick you because they still very new to the game and dont understand how it works. But overall its a pretty simple feature and it always nice to see more data about other players and the positive effect of adding it to the game should be  alot higher then the negative, thats why i posted about it.
