Please bring back the missing Amulets of Power. I know some good be exploited with chest farming, but who cares in a SP game? It's just uncool to have less points to spend than in my previous playthrough and so all my builds are not working anymore. (They were tailored on level 27 with the exact amount of AoP available ingame).

I believe there already is a thread about this in the "Feedback and Suggestion"-section called "BAD IDEA BIOWARE; (...)". It'll probably be best to add to that thread rather than start an additional one.

"Bad idea" is about the item dupe. Amulets of Power are a different case, since they were removed while working as intended. So, thread has its purpose.

There is at least 1 other thread about the Amulet of Power removals here... But I see you already found it. This is just another duplicate thread.

I'm pretty sure they don't plan to address this issue, or else they would have commented on it, by now. It would be best to assume that the amulets will not be restored, and to use alternative methods of building your characters.

It's a shame I made decisions I can't stand during my first play through - which is my only one that has all the amulets.

For PC users, there is a mod on nexus that so far appears to restore the Amulets of Power to their proper chests.

There's a new Beta patch coming. Sign up on that and make your case there.
Or mod them back as has been suggested above.

I thought the number of amulets of power for each character were borderline silly... i preferred origins, where there was 3 or 4 skill books and you had to use them wisely. I think DAI had like 50 when i started.

It's possible they were removed as they knew the JoH DLC was going to raise the level cap.

if another DLC raises the cap to 30, there's not many more places to put the points so that they'd have meaning.

Well in that case, bioware should've thought it through before implementing the 8-slot limit for skills. The 8-slot limit is honestly the worse design decision in this game.

No arguments from me there.

Gets even worse if quizzies unique skills are added. At the very least they should have been kept separate from the 8 ability restriction.

Jaws didn't change the level cap (it's been 27 since release).

It made it much easier to reach the cap, but it still hasn't been changed (they're going to have to raise it for the next DLC).

I think it was just rebalancing brought on by the need to plug the exploit. It was easier to kill most of them while bringing everybody down to two amulets. The only change I want to see is an additional amulet for Dorian and Sera (who as far as we know can only ever get a single amulet, for whatever reason; and Dorian's may as well not even exist, with all the hoops you have to jump through to get it).

Exactly. Last playthrough this happened:

Okay, I'll be a Tempest Archer. I should probably use all 4 Archer abilities. Cool. Half the slots are gone.

Well, I'll take stealth too, that's pretty important for a rogue. 3 left.

Hey, I got a focus ability! 2 left.

I'm a Tempest, yay! Well, I only get one spec, so I want to use all 3 flasks. Oh... I can't? Well... I guess since I'm on casual I'll give up the focus ability. I guess all those focus weapons, belts and masterworks are useless to me now.

Hey, a new ability in Jaws of Hakkon? Awesome! Or, you know, not, because I have to give up a flask or stealth.

Basically, you only have enough slots for the basic Archer abilities, stealth, and your spec abilities. Nothing else! Not even a focus ability? What the hell, that's so boring!
