I was playing the other day and someone said "I'm getting ready to lay down some FTL's, so watch your back" and then proceeded to missile away. It was wave 11.
Edit: shouldn't this be in the Terminology Thread stickied in the top thread?
Why do they call them FTL's?

OP, thank you for explaining what doing "FTLs" means. It freaked me out really bad the first time I heard it.
You see, during my youth in Peru, there was a game that bullies made me play, called Fist The Llama, or FTL for short. So, when someone during a match screamed, "IT'S FTL TIME, MUTHAFRAKKA!!!" on wave 11, I immediately shut down my xbox and missed all the credits. It's okay, it was during my Bronze game days, so it wasn't a huge loss.
Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.
