hi, i was wondering im planning on doing a rift mage nightmare playthrough, and i was wondering what acessories to get. more especially the rings. i know i will get superb belt of focus and superb amulet of willpower, but i am planning to use staff of corruption (crafted from the schematic from black emporium dlc) wich have no +%crit chance slots for any upgrade nor on the staff itself, so i was wondering if i should switch my ring for the ring of assault and the superb ring of attack

 

or maybe there is a better staff than staff of corruption ? even if i find it difficult to find anything better (yeah, +56% Attack is hard to beat  )

In my current playthrough on nightmare as a knight enchanter, I'm using a 20% cooldown amulet, 20% attack ring, superb belt of health that increases my health by 200 points and an enhanced immolate ring

 

I have the same staff with 56% attack with fade touched plushed fustian velvet. It gives a 10% chance to use hidden blades, 5 added hits. 

 

As far as I know, there isn't a better staff, at least there isn't for me

For what's it's worth- the Wrath of Lovias staff at the Black Emporium is pretty dang good- three offense (leather) slots to stack crit (if you care about that). But it also has added slots for a staff blade and a staff grip. I'm using it with my Qunari KE.

so, would you recommend i switched my superb amulet of willpower (+10 Willpower) for a Superb amulet of Cooldown or something (+20% cooldown) or should i stay with the willpower one.

 

Also, on a rift mage should i got for ring of assault or am i better off with some enhanced ability Ring (AKA the fire mine one) or should i keep the ring of assault up until the end of the game, because i'm definitively keeping my superb ring of attack.

 

 

so a "ideal" gear choice would look like that ? 

 

Superior Battlemage armor (made from from dragon webbing, with dragon webbing in the 2 utility slot)

 

battlemage armor legs and arms (also will be with dragon webbing in the utility slot, both of them)

 

the arishock vitaar

 

staff of corruption

 

amulet of superb willpower 

 

superb ring of attack

 

superb belt of focus

 

 

On another note i wanted to know if a crit-build for a mage would be better.

 

say i used wrath of locias as a staff and craft superior prowler armor with soufleur skin and use dragon scale (on armor, armor upgrade and helmet) and Great Bear hide (on all slot of wrath of lovias) would i be able to reach 100% crit chance and more importantly would i do more damage via critical hit or should i stick with +attack ?  

 

p-s : i would also like to know if the schematic for the superior battlemage armor is in the black emporium or not (the one with 2 utility slot in  it). i have been searching for a long time and never seem to have found it.

 

edit : you had a 20% attack ring ? how is that mine is a superb attack ring and does only 10% =(
