Zevran VS Sera
Which would you prefer? The wacky archer or the Dashing assassin? Both have their moments and can be a good friend/lover to their main character. But who would you rather have In your party?

This one is easy for me. Zevran.
Talking with him and not ending up in a romance with him was challenging, but I enjoyed his banter and talks way more that Sera's.

Really? I find Leliana a much bigger problem with stealth-romancing. I'll swear I avoided every romance choice, and yet somehow it always ends with her randomly blurting a love confession after doing her personal quest.

Much more tolerable then Sera.
Zevran as he was a much more fun and charming person to have around and he was open to the wardens more darker actions. he dose not judge or act as if he knows what is right or how things should be like sera dose.. don't get me wrong I really like sera but she is far to closed minded to be all that useful when you need to make the really harsh choices. Sera is like a little sister to my Inquisitor but Zevran would be more like a useful asset to strike at my enemies and he is fun to have around.. the guy is charming and cleaver.

Leliana is problematic too, but to be honest there's only one conversation I need to be cautious of, while with Zevran it's almost every talk. That's why I try to cut-off his romance as soon as possible.

Zevran's easy to avoid romancing on accident. Just don't be interested in him in that way. Don't compliment his looks, don't talk sex with him, don't say anything flirty, and ignore any flirty comments made towards you by him, and you'll avoid his romance effortlessly. I've never once had a problem with him stealth-mancing me.
Leliana though has romance initiators all over the place, and they're not always obvious.
Don't know what you did wrong with Zevran. If you tell him outright "No", when he first asks if there can be anything between you, he's fine with it. My girl was romancing Alistair and Zevran became her best friend. He even asked to stay on with the Wardens as a mascot. Naturally if you lead him on and then turn him down, he's going to getting narky about it.
Anyway I much prefer Zevran as a companion. His banter with other people was genuinely amusing and on the whole he wasn't too judgemental. He certainly couldn't give a stuff about whether you believed in the Maker or the elf gods or nothing. Mind you it is difficult to compare them fighting wise since everything changed after Origins and in any case he was primarily a dual wielder, although he was reasonable enough with a bow (in the days when you were allowed to have two weapon sets, so could interchange them mid battle).

Yeah I was thinking about that when I first started It I'll start that for the next threads
They're both fairly annoying characters, IMO. I would prefer neither, but if I absolutely had to choose, I'd go with Zevran since I can at least have someone to shag.
Zeveran, he was a pretty interesting character all round. My only real criticism is the scenario in which he gets recruited was not persuasive. In reality I would never have recruited an assassin that just tried to kill me, but I did so because I knew he was a game companion.
This is a tough one....
I like both, but for a mission... I'd go with Zevran...

Don't like either of them. But if I had to choose between the two...Zevran. At least he's actually quite intelligent and makes some very interesting philosophical points in Origins.
