Makes me miss my dog from the first game and beyond that, from the first game I know that Mabari are smart enough to understand spoken language and it makes me want to be able to adopt a wild Mabari into my party. 
I don't like killing Mabari

I'm not so sure the mabari we encounter are wild ones, often they're accompanied by bandits so it's possible that the lone mabari are also trained by such people to scare away trespassers or kill refugees so the bandits can later loot their corpses
it would be nice though to have a way to obtain a pet mabari for the Inqusitor, or at least for the Inqusition in general (have it wander around Skyhold and interact with some of the NPCs like the dog from Origins would with some followers at camp)

Lately mabari having been spawning in the Hinterlands in my game, but it never happened before. They just keep appearing out of no where. Past the cave in the Outskirts, as I had down the slope to where I find the woman's body, I was attacked by 4 or 5 that came out of no where!

Aww the merchant Mabari! Lol when I first met him there, he was stuck in a rock and it trapped my companions with him. It was a hilarious mess of limbs.
