It's the same process as the one a guy invented, when vending machines were much less complicated than they are now.
You'd have to pick a coin, tie it with a string and use it as usual, but retrieving the coin after gaining the credit at the machine.
Everyone using it was feeling like "I'm a genius!". No, they were smart arses and scum.
