I want to play a new game/series in that universe but it seems like it may be another two years before we are close to getting another release since it won't be based on the original story arc.

I think the graphics of mass effect aged well due to the art style, but I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing what they build in the frostbite 3 engine and dx12... but so long away.

Can you imagine this level of fidelity:

but set in the mass effect universe with the space ships and futuristic tech amd biotic explosions?

#1 I believe (or hope) that ME4 will release NLT Fall 2016 which means we are less that 2 years from release.

#2 If the ME remastered trilogy is true, we should have an "updated" ME trilogy to experience before we get our hands on ME4.

We shall find out in a few weeks....

I approve of this B)

But yes, the lack of fresh Mass Effect content in my life is far, far too low and I anxiously await E3 for atleast a nibble of new information.

I see these forums, twitter, the BioWare blog hoping they show something but my impatience is enormous, if only they reveal a conceptual art every month I'd settle for it, I imagine and hope they are waiting to drop a bomb to last until the game goes on sale.

18 days and perhaps the waiting will end, another wait even longer will begin.

You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a medieval fantasy game these days. You know when you have too much of a good thing? It's not the genre that I dislike, it's just theres too much of it! It's the reason why I only liked but didn't love DAI. It's Bioware sure but it's more elves and dragons. I need my space-opera, scifi RPG fix! No one else is making anything to fill this void for me which is why I am so impatient for news! I want to have my own ship again, my own crew , I want to explore planets and meet aliens! I have a really good feeling we're finally going to get more concrete information this upcoming E3.

Agreed. It's not just games though, there isn't much good sci-fi around period. Movies and TV series included (wish MGM would bring Stargate back). Interstellar was good but movies like this are rare.

Mass Effect: Next will be a welcomed sight.

Don't speak of such things.

Hush.

On topic.  I agree, BioWare really does the best with ME.  And I just hope that it's up to the usual quality.  There are tons of games out right now though that will allow you to take control in space...   Galactic Civilizations III, Starpoint Gemini, etc...    It's just that all of them are missing that feeling you have when you see the Normandy for the first time and you say to yourself, "Home."

Miss it?  What's there to miss?  Shepard's story is DONE, however BioWare can STILL explore stories within that particular timeline.  Now there's a new chapter, that I am willing to explore and learn about.

Sure, we *may* not have any familiar faces, but what's wrong with falling in love with new characters, and new stories, and new places to go to?  The ME isn't done, it's not going away.

Consider this like Star Wars, Epi 1-6 is the "main storyline," and anything before that is considered EU (expanded universe).  MENext is going to be EU imo, that isn't going to get SH*T-CANNED.
