Does anyone know what happens to your ME3 squad after the ending?

which makes it feel as if I have to make up my own aftermath, which sucks because I'm not creative.
That's exactly what you have to do. Many don't like it, I did, as the player has basically a lot of freedom to create a happy ending, if desired.

I feel as if there's too much to think about. Going off of the good destruction ending, you can assume that the squad finds Shepard, Tali was my LI so I assume that they build their house on Rannoch, that Liara studies even more, Ashley maybe becomes an admiral, but you didn't get to know enough about James, I didn't anyways, and Garrus maybe settles down, although he seems to like fighting, and then what about EDI? Joker's in love with her, maybe he makes an AI based on the one she had, maybe he didn't because it wouldn't be the same. Do the Quarians rebuild the Geth, or do they think it's too much of a risk? What happens to Kolyat etc.
Guess I could come up with some stuff now, but the player has too much freedom IMO since the Mass Effect universe is so large. I'd love to hear about your squadmates in Mass Effect 4 if it's a sequel, because even if it's far into the future, they're basically heroes of The Milky Way, and might get monuments raised after them.

Well, we know that "The Shepard" is still a topic of interest 20.000 years after the events of the trilogy, so yea, I'd say they had a bit of an impact.

What squadmates?
In a couple of my playthroughs all squadmates are dead. Excellent. Only Samantha and Joker appeared at the memorial wall. Sam put up femshep's nameplate.
Its up to the player to decide what happens with the ME3 squadmates.

Garrus went to be a cop and Joker is a bartender.

Guess I forgot to mention that I played your mod as well after being disappointed with the extended cut ending, way better IMO, even though it still leaves you to decide the aftermath, it's better than the extended cut, thanks for making it.

I didn't find it that hard to keep all the squadmates alive, I think it'd be more of a task to try to get them all killed instead, unless they're in Mass Effect 2 I guess.
Was just thinking, someone might know something, or some theory that seems possible for the aftermath seeing as it's been 3 years, and with me only beating it a couple of days ago, has happened with some other games I've played.

Its not hard to keep the squadmates alive. Its also not hard to have them all die. As I say, I've had them all dead, but for specific playthroughs I do.

I would imagine the squadmates would help the galaxy rebuild

Whatever happens is up to your own imagination. I just wish we had more agency in the game to decide some characters fates.
My Shepard destroys: But now that he knows synthesis is inevitable, he'll do everything he can to gain control for humanity to achieve it on greater terms.

Spoilers below if it wasn't obvious from the topic title.I beat Mass Effect 3 a couple of days ago, and I did have the extended cut installed, and I'm perfectly fine with Shepard sacrificing himself in most of the endings. I got Synthesis because it seemed like the best one, but all I get to see is that Zaeed is in a chair, Jacob is talking to people, Miranda is planning something, Jack is training more biotics, Samara hangs out with her daughter, the Krogans are rebuilding, and that the Geth and Quarians are working together. So, you get to know what happens to your previous squad and your allies, but not what happens to your current squad, most of which have been there since the beginning. All you get to see is your squad sad at Shepard dying, which is when I decided to check out the good destruction ending since Shepard seemingly survives, which makes it seem as if your squad returns to look for Shepard, since your LI is contemplating about putting your plate on the wall. I haven't been able to find anything about what happens after the endings, which makes it feel as if I have to make up my own aftermath, which sucks because I'm not creative. So is there anything official about what happens to your squad after the ending?

I picked Destroy under the same reasoning.
Synthesis and the merger of man and machine is one of more likely natural eventualities that will likely happen to a civilisation once the technological singularity has been reached. Given enough, it's all but inevitable?
The only reason I can think of why that it's not happened already is because the Catalyst is operating on programming that is inherently flawed, so that it's directive to "find a solution" means that it constantly interferes and meddles in each Cycle, subconsciously rigging the game and being surprised when each time the outcome proves to be exactly the same?
While it created the Citadel and Relays to speed up the experiment, that only highlights the Catalyst's mistake, since every single civilisation that emerges are always going to be the same, built on the same basic technological rules and always approaching the same point, at which point, the Catalyst calls the latest iteration a wash and in frustration sends the Reapers to Ctrl-Z everything back to the start.
Destroy is the only option that knocks over the table and breaks the Cycles entirely.
Without the Reapers and without the Catalyst interfering, for the first time the galaxy can proceed to chart it's own course and grow organically, rather than being pushed into a certain shape by the designs of the Catalyst. Maybe they'll screw up? Maybe they'll get it right? But the point is that it's their choice that will take them there, not the Catalyst trying to force that on them and failing.
Which is why the Synthesis ending doesn't work for me, because it's again forcing that change on a civilisation that's unprepared and unready for it, rather than allowing it to naturally occur? If the next game is set a couple millennia down the road, then for all we know Synthesis could have happened naturally... which is how I'd prefer Bioware address the ending of ME3, by leaving it completely ambiguous what Shepard actually picked?

Right, just misinterpreted it then, although, I don't know how you'd kill off all your squadmates, unless they're in ME2, or it's Kaidan/Ashley in ME1.

Don't be confused. Synthesis was Hudson's favorite. they just went along with it. probably some people who didn't know what to do and ran straight ahead.
But what happened to our cast? They're auditioning for their next film.

No, I mean mixing Synthesis with Animal House, like that vid. It's like, mundane buffoonery mixed with the extremely nerdy and esoteric.

You're contributing to the BSN "rep" by starting **** with me. Why? I clicked like on your post.
My point is Synthesis sucks. But Animal House doesn't. I'm not looking for a hidden meaning. It's just that.

I just didn't know why you were trying to analyse a vid so much when all I mean't it for was a quick laugh. To bring a bit of levity to this section of the Forum.
