Does anyone know what happens to your ME3 squad after the ending?

Basically, the writer said "Lots of speculations for everyone" about the ending. Just keep that in mind. They thought all of this stuff was out of their hands.

Kinda got that now, but I have more important things to think about than to speculate about the aftermath of Mass Effect, this thread has really helped out though, way more friendlier than Reddit anyways where everybody shits on your opinion.

It's a pretty relaxed group in this forum now, back in 2013 it was a different story. I'm sure the trolls will return when the next ME gets revealed.

Not sure if it's been shared but http://shannon.users...net/masseffect/ can provoke some good bases for headcanon epilogues.

This is pretty sweet actually, apparently Joker dies thanks to brittle bone disease, but I mean, the Normandy is fairly safe, couldn't he just stay there while waiting to be rescued? The rest is pretty good though, thanks!

Yeah but, I asked basically the same exact thing on reddit, and instead of actual helpful things, I get people who write fanfictions, and guys who **** on my opinion that the ending didn't give me enough closure.

Sure isn't, Reddit was just incredibly bad compared to this forum.

I don't care for this approach either, but that's basically what the writers want people to do (fan fiction, more or less). I think they figured that the galaxy is potentially changed in so many ways that it can't all be addressed. You just have to make it personal...whatever makes sense for you and whatever your choices were.

Here's a thread with people posting their thoughts of what happens to all crewmembers and squadmates after ME3

No, like, fan fiction as in they basically made porn readable, that kind of stuff.

well, id say quarians worked heavily on rebuilding their homeworld, as did garrus, and other reaper devastated colonies. liara probably started researching after her home planet was rebuilt. joker more than likely kept the Normandy, or its AI but only because of the heavy casualties on the Normandy SR2 they probably made an SR3 so more than likely wouldn't have kept the VI and other things on a monument ship.

speculations though idk, truthfully all depends...

 emergency induction port,
Commander MAGNUS out

Easy, After they destroyed the Reapers they had a party on the Citadel several months later.  The party ends the next morning and I assume from there everyone went their separate ways visiting each other on occasion.  My Shepard lives with Kaidan in Vancouver, eventually retiring from Military life and passed the Normandy onto James Vega.

Excerpted from The Normandy: A Study in Heroism

The AI known as EDI was, of course, destroyed when the Crucible 'fired'. Notably, the crew of the Normandy chose to bury the EDI chassis rather than attempting to salvage or repurpose its technology.

According to multiple sources, when Flight Lieutenant Moreau died in the survivors' first year planetside, EDI's grave was opened so that Moreau could be interred beside it.

Isn't that just a mech body? Seems kind of funny that Joker gets buried with it. I think if you really wanted to "bury" EDI, you'd have to strip the whole medbay.

Well, to be fair EDI spends most of ME3 inside that body, most of your interactions with her are through it. In my head most of the crew got used to EDI = that body. Even myself in real life, if I think of EDI now the image that comes to my mind is the mechanic body. It would make sense to bury it if you believe in such things and it helps giving closure/paying your respects to her.

Since you mention that, would you agree that if Bioware showed Shepard's grave in a slide, for all the endings that she/he died, would give closure?

Not for me. Maybe for some people, but not for me. That's why I said "if you believe in such things" before; I'm not one for burials, going to visit the graves and so on, but I understand that it can help or be benefitial for some people. If they would have shown that, I wouldn't be mad either.

Personally, for me the fact that you see her dying in those endings is enough closure, don't need the grave. And the ending that lets you wonder what happens... well, it's up to each person to imagine what happens after.

However I think the memorial wall in the Normandy is a nice touch. Having the names of people who died there to honor their efforts, and remind the crew of the sacrifices made in this war. But for me that's far from a religious point of view.

Funnily, you can have a convo with Legion about this. My renegade didn't care for burials, and Legion thought it was odd. I wonder how EDI would think... she's more aspiring to organic customs.

EDI would probably proceed to scan the extranet in a search for the cultural implications and all the data she could find about it. She always wants to learn as much as possible about humans, apart from enjoying seeing them on their knees.
