My volume is low as I am at work, but it looks like there will be an offense one and a defense one.  15k each.  Guaranteed unique.

This is great for those people who don't have that ring already, but I kinda feel like this spoils the sheer excitement and joy of finding one in a standard chest somewhat.

More accurate info:

 

(Jewelry Boxes of Assaulter/Protector). They have 1 accessory card that's guaranteed rare or unique, another accessory card that's common and rare, and a guaranteed rune. Assault chest gives weapons and offensive potions, while Protector chests give armor upgrades and resistance potions. They're expensive though (15k gold).

Also, the devs said that the chances of getting a HoK ring from those Jewelry chests is 1:16 if you're in the top chest bucket.

So we are expected to save up 240k gold on average. Is that even better than spending buying 200 large chests?

This was an approximation, hold while I get the actual odds... it's actually closer to 1:20 but if you're in this bucket you'll always get one purple accessory.

I wish I had some way to know where I was regarding number of chests opened.  I would need to play some games to get enough gold to buy one of these and I'm still not sure if it's worth it for those odds.

Yeah thinking about it I'll just skip saving for these. That price is too steep for another superb rune to salvage. I'll probably be better off looking for superb belt of health in large chests. I thought defender vs assaulter would give me a better chance at the defensive accessories with defender. It's too big of a pool of rare + unique accessories to spend 15k on. Ability rings would really dilute that pool too.

 

So if you're in the, uh, top chest opened bracket you get a guaranteed purple accessory huh. I'll see what other people get before I try it.

15 000 gold for a random Superb accessory which could become a duplicate is just not worth it. There are so many bad accessories, combined with duplicates, that playing the 15 000 gold for 1/20 chance is just a gold sink for people with way too much gold or with no accessories.
 

2400 gold chests with random loots are okay. 15 000 gold with slightly less random, but still random enough, loot is not nearly good enough in my book.

If you have >~312k gold spent you are in the top bucket.

6 Large chests with no idea what Unique if any will show up vs 1 Jewelry Box that can guarantee some rarity and narrow down the pool selection?

DON't BUY IT. It is completely worthless. I spend 30k to open each of them and I only get 3 rare accessories in each of them.

It is pretty obvious what BioWare is trying for.
