There are so many companions that I can barely stand. The worst offendersc are:
Blackwall
Iron Bull
Vivienne
Sera
Merrill
Anders
Oghren
Loghain

His sense of humour is seriously aimed at the 12 year old demigraph, he's usually recruited late and honestly, I think he whines non-******-stop. I'm surprised Alistair is known as the whiney character in that game; as soon as Oghren is met, he's complaining about his ex wife, then about Orzammar in general, then his lack of purpose.

 

Everyone else I can honestly tolerate with maybe the exception of Sebastian, who I can tolerate but again usually forget. Oghren though, it's a no from me.

It shouldn't be too big a surprise. Alistair starts his lamenting at some of the earliest points of the game, before you even have an opportunity to recruit more people, whereas Oghren's encounter can be held off until the game is more than half done.

True, but he also has more time to develope his other traits. With Oghran, I usually do Orzammar last (which I feel like the game intends, anyway), and all his content is him complaining or making crude jokes which barely make sense outside of '******! HAHA YES ******!'. Like, I'm all for crude jokes that make sense/have legitimate humour in them haha, but Oghren... no thank you. >_>

Well that also illustrates why people wouldn't really associate Oghren with whining. Much of that stuff is obscured behind his boisterous low-brow shtick.

I don't really dislike any of them enough to notice. Most I'm just indifferent to or disinterested in.

 

I guess I'll just list the characters I find most forgettable and/or bland; Blackwall, Zevran, Oghren, Sigrun, Aveline, Carver.

Hmm...I haven´t thought of this much until I met Viviene. In origins or awakening all companions are all right, even though Alistair seems quite stupid, in DA2 I don´t like Fenris much, but I don´t hate him. In inquisition, Sera is somehow quite annoying, but Viviene? Viviene is terrible. She is trying to be mother for my inquisitor or something, alway acting like she is better than everyone. and the way she speaks: "you know, you are just incompetent mage, who should be locked in cell, MY DEAR" I hate how she speaks, how she is convinced about her superiority and also my canon inquisitor hates her opinions.
