People who bought one post what you got.

I always spend all my money as I get it so can't buy one yet.

I mostly want a purple HOK ring and purple crit chance ring.

I already have all the dragon weapons except the 1h sword.

Only if you are absolutely desperate for high grade accessories. Even then it's iffy.

General consensus is no however.

If you only need a couple of purples or ability rings, purchase not. If you're relatively new, sure.

15,000 gold for a Superb Belt of Sunder? Yeah, that sounds fair.

Should be a guaranteed unique at its price.
Even then I got Superb Barrier Penetration.
How many unique accessories are there?
You'd need 150k if you were chasing.
I'd buy platinum with a guarantee

I bought 1 of the protector chests and got poop. Then I bought 15k worth of large chests just to compare. I managed to get 2 rings that I actually didn't have and will probably use in the future, static cage ring and leaping shot ring. Also got 2 uniques from the large chests but they weren't exactly what I wanted.

So yeah, never touching those chests again

Don't do it if you're using gold.

I wouldn't do it if you were using platinum either, but if you're hell bent on buying those chests and you've got some lying around...

Item score tiers aren't based on how much gold you spend are they? If not, i'd think it'd be better long term for newbies (which I don't think TC is, don't get hostile on me bro/bra) to open the large chests. Not sure about this though? Input, forumites?

Wasted 45K upgrading only 2 outfits, whereas last week I was able to update 10 for a 1/3 of the cost. Hrmm... best deal in town.

All right thanks for the replies. I wish they would let us do something to get a specific item we never seem to be lucky enough to get while getting dozens of other items we already have.

Like trade a couple of uniques for a specific one.

And they should really cap the amount of runes to like 3. So if you already have 3 fire runes in your inventory you wouldnt get any more untill you used one.

If you're feeling lucky, and you've got the Prestige high enough to guarantee unique accessories, (I'd say you'd need at least 300 to feel confident your $15k lands you a chance at purple) and you're in dire need of some of the better ones, (200 hp belt, 50 stamina amulet, 15% cooldown amulet, crit rings, 10% HoK), I say go for it! Just know that you're spending 12.5 large chests worth to get 2 guaranteed accessories (and some runes/armor upgrades etc)

I have every weapon and accessory in the game, bought with all normal chests painstakingly over the last 6 months. I've definitely spent near 1.8-2 million gold. I WISH we'd had these kind of chest events way back when. I can recall hundreds of large chests with level 1-10 gray weapon fodder in them. All my gold is being saved for the chance that later, there will be a patch that includes the JoH weapons (Level 25 uniques, a bit better than the Dragon weapons)

My prestige is around 615ish but I really don't know if it changes anything. Bioware says it does but then again I keep getting low level crappy uniques all the time.

Spent 75k and got the only item i need 2nd superb hok ring(took me about 750k to get the first).  Also salvaged superb crit str and something else.

I get the feeling adding more specific chests might mean the class chests will get nerfed ontop of being sold at the correct price.

The loot giveaway the last month has been great, lets alot more casual type players experience perilous without the grind.

Bioware figured that people still buy platinum after last weekend class chests and thought that raising the gold price to exorbitant levels might encourage more people to invest real money.

Dont buy them for 15k gold. And dont buy platinum!

Im fine with people buying platinum as long as they put the money back into mp developement.

Im surprised how much effort they put into the mp since most people who bought the game bought it for the singleplayer.  They could have have just taken the money and left.  Might of lost a few hundred disgruntled mp players on their next release but it would be a drop in the ocean.

But raising gold to exorbitant levels to force more people to buy platinum makes the game pay to win.

Anyway go buy platinum. the class chests will be 30000 gold next week if you encourage it. They probably remove the gold from the game with next patch. platinum only.
