Also, if I may add I thank those who actually gave a good response, providing me with what I need and should know instead of going, "PS4 or PC" something I could honestly care less about. There are times when I want an answer and don't feel like putting up with irreverent crap.
Now, I'm aware this is BSN. Threads will get derailed in the name of bacon, simfam being an impostor or Recon clopping to Luna and myself posting gifs that no one gives a hoot about. We troll each other, we do this and that, which is normal around here.
However, derailment wasn't something I was in the mood for. I asked, I got, done deal. There's no more use of the thread.
Now, in turn, I shall provide an answer. Why am I getting an xbox one? It's because for Halo and Destiny, plus it now appeals to me more so than the Playstation 4 when it comes to exclusives. The only game that appealed to me was Planetside 2 and I can play that on PC when I get or build one within the next two years. Plus, all my friends are on xbox one. I don't feel like having to restart again.

Not on mine at least. Just a streamlined installation/save file type of interface you'd see on most consoles.
The keyboard would be useful if you want to use internet explorer, I guess. I haven't played anything that required extensive typing. There's that Neverwinter MMO and the Elder Scrolls MMO, but not sure how text chat works in those.

There was a thread I made asking for advice and I shut it down due to a console war getting ready to pop up. Those things are annoying and not fun to watch anymore. Plus I had already gotten the helpful advice I needed by a few posters.

The problem isn't the consoles themselves or how attached they are to their consoles, it's when they insult the people who prefer the other console.

It's more worth it if you don't have another console. It doesn't have much the PS3 doesn't. It's main exclusives are remastered or getting remastered for X1 (Halo and Gears of War).
