I play on perilous on ps4

Can you look into patching despair demons and archers please. I know this was something that was discussed previously but not sure how far you progressed with it. Despair demons evade should have a much longer cool-down than it currently does as it can be a real problem for melee units to close the gap. Something also needs to be done about their ice-mine attack which rag-dolls the player, is there anyway this can be changed to some sort of chill effect (slowing down our movements rather than knocking us off our feet) or at the very least making it so that the despair demon needs to have line of sight on the player?

With archers it comes simply down to their dps and the fact that the arrows more often than not appear to go through hard cover. I have been the victim of this many times unfortunately

Can we not randomly make things up and deliver it as fact? Creates misinformation and misdirected comments.

I now dub thee "Bishop Blair".

Good on you not taking unfair and unfounded criticism of the current situation of DAMP.

To be fair to Torkelite I remember him from the beginning of DAMP, back during the dark days of the key bug, the many CTDs and the Amelia/Penguin kerfluffle. Some people from back then still harbor a lot of resentment (which I understand), even though times have changed and things keep getting better and better. A lot of us from back then are still here though, spreading positivity. Mrs. Racer comes to mind :)

We can't pretend like November to March didn't happen, but we can try to support these current wondrous days in the sun! :D

Eh, people clamor for mixed factions then complain.

Challenge did seem to be an odd collection of enemies though.

I think there's a difference between mixed factions, and taking the worst aspects of 2 factions, and throwing hordes of them at you. Not that I had a problem with this weekends challenge, but I can see where the complaints were from. I mostly just played AW/Duelist/Hunter/Templar, though, and all of those have little trouble with Despar Demons, generally speaking.

I think on the lower difficulties, it would've been more plausable to see Venitor Mages having summoned Wraiths or lesser Demons, opposed to Rage/Despair. Maybe have a few each wave, but not like 8+. Save that clusterfuck for Perilous

I liked the weekend challenge.  Took me out of my comfort zone - briefly - until I adjusted.  To those whining about being taken out of your comfort zones, perhaps you should just drop the difficulty down a notch?  Or adjust your tactics and loadouts to the new situation?  That is, after all, the very definition of a challenge.

And how exactly should we adjust our tactics to an enemy that can target us without any line of sight? Did you even read this nonsense before you posted it?) You realise that all difficulties had mixed factions right? For the 100th time its nothing to with difficulty you cretin, its to do withbeing stunlocked and having very little control of your character due to cheap opponents. Keep your elitest posts to yourself

Let's see...it's okay that we, as players, have all kinds of powers, spells and abilities to cause panic, sleep, strike ooLoS, explode, stunlock, et cetera, to our opponents - the hapless AI - and yet if the AI uses these same types of things against us, we're suddenly all butthurt because boo-f*ckinghoo they're not playing fair?

Go on being incompetent, and angry.  I'll go on adjusting to better complete the mission, despite what BioWare throws at us in terms of opponent capability.  Good night.

Ps.  It's no wonder you always got beat by Penelope Pitstop.

Pow, right in the kisser.

I did have some cases of multiple knock downs, it even killed me on my AW once because I had no barrier up and didn't notice, got hit with back to back runes and some archer arrows, and wasn;t running Fade Cloak yet.

That said, Jam's not entirely wrong. While it is stupid they can hit you from anywhere and out of line of sight, most classes have ways of countering. Warriors can block, and while I think it still might knock you down, you do get guard. I believe both range Rogues get Evade, tho I don't generally use it on my Hunter. Combat roll, Fade Step, Fade Cloak, using an ability like Flank Attack or Ambush to just get you off the actual mine, regardless of a target, also worked for me. As did the warrior charge, Avvar leap, and sometimes I found just flat out jumping at the right time has sometimes yeilded result, but not consistantly. Also I've always put Frost resist on armor upgrades where applicable. I was lucky and got a 32 frost quite early on and it works amazing on my AW.

I am, however, fully on board with making Despair Demons require line of sight on their ice mines, though. And a cooldown on their sick dance moves.

I dont think anyone at BioWare plays this game above routine. They have never played anything other than routine in their streams.

You want proof they play Perilous?

Bioware devs on their 20/2/15 Twitch stream:  http://www.twitch.tv...are/b/627348849

I can't confirm if they played earlier than that, but get your facts right please.

Its like arguing with a brick wall - for the last time it wasnt challenging, I completed it after a couple of games. It was cheap however and very annoying. As an elitest no doubt with the attention span of a goldfish, I wouldnt expect you to get it. But for arguments sake lets look at your logic, your suggesting that enemies should be able to do the exact same thing to us as we can do to them right? Ok then give me an example of a power that a player can use to target an enemy without any line of sight, which can be used from a distance? Just to be clear you have to be able to target them specifically without any line of sight so AOE abilities you put into an area that enemies walk into doesnt count - I look forward to reading the answers you give me

That skill should be made more realistic, make it work only when they have direct line of sight with the players. You get hit by this skill and you have no idea where it came from, you look around see no one, and when you look at compass you see many possible targets.

I suppose it cant be fixed easily without patch, but is hell of an annoyance.

They have acknowledged both problems of despair demon cooldown and mega archer one shots and are addressing them. Shame it wasn't before this so wouldn't have to endure your persistent QQ.

Persist I much - they have aknowleged 2 enemies that need fixing and then decided to spam them on us as a challenge, do you not see the problem here?

Nope you're not pinning this on me.  Not a fan of mixed ME3 factions (a'la Platinum) so I'd rather some other way of making it harder.

Not picking the most BS units and throw them all together for our "enertainment"

Pin it on me, I was advocating this in another thread. It may or may not have made a difference but I did champion the idea...so

I can see your point, but I personally didn't mind the extra challenge. This ultimately was an experiment to see if we liked specific permutations of spawns. We are kind of the running guinea pigs for their evil experiments. As a villain yourself, Mr. Dastardly, you should understand.

I hope they continue to tinker with the game like this. It keeps things interesting in a game that up until about a month ago was very stale.

Yea, there are some issues with the ice mines, there are skills to counter act, fade cloak, fade step, combat roll, evade, leaping shot etc. I agree that It is damn annoying they can hit you without LOS but none are show stoppers, you can hunt them, get your stealth characters to find them and kill them first, Hunter can place spike trap followed by throwing blades or leaping shot (this will most likely be a guaranteed kill), Assassins can hunt them, Mages can Stone Fist them in the face and knocking them down for a few seconds..

I agree this is not ideal in Perilous where you have multiples to deal with at once but it can be done... Teamwork is key, although it can be done solo with an AW and the right build.

Personally I quite enjoyed the challenge but it was fun to kill of some Red Templars yesterday .. :)

I think this pretty much sums it up. This is what was wrong with this week-end event. And yes, you could make it through, let's just say it wasn't the most fun games ever.

Overall though, it's a lower rate. I'm pretty sure the forum had a thread calculating game completion percentage and at one point it was like 30% between key drop and CTDs. It's better now right? Well for us console peasants it's gotten better. Dunno about PC Overlords :P
