Thank you for asking. I have been fully certified to answer for all male gamers. The records are kept at the Oxford Institute for Manhood, Albingdon Road.
The reason we act differently upon hearing a woman's voice is that a woman's voice causes small gnomes that live in our ears to activate hormones designed to inspire in us the need to impress females. All this science has been tested and proven at the Oxford Institute for Manhood™.

I've never been treated any differently (not in the ME community anyway), nor have I seen any other females treated differently.
Don't let that get in the way of blanket generalizations about gender. I never make the mistake of allowing reality to intrude upon my politics.

I don't feel that I have been treated differently by the majority of men in this particular gaming community.
Well, this one handsome turian sentinel once took his jacket off and put it over a puddle so I could walk through it without getting my feet wet but I think he just wanted to get laid. Clearly that turian did not realize he had already fulfilled 100% of the requirements for that by being a fat turian and acting all chivalrous was not necessary.

Opening....
Half of my friends list are female and half male. But a statement like that can be seen as quite prejudiced towards men.
I am an avid supporter of female gaming equality but that entails equality on both sides. Stereotyping works both ways.
Hell, I play with anyone and treat them the same, male.... female ..... sinful force.

Do you suppose we do? Do you perceive you've been treated differently because of your gender?

Yes. God forbid if they find out I am a feminist or about my significant other.

I don't think i change, if i do its subconciously.
I guess obviously some gamers change in hopes they get lucky? Some are just plain disrespectful to women or are insecure.

Personally, I agree with Valentine de Saint Point (even if I personally disagree with Futurism as a whole):
"Humanity is mediocre. Women, as a whole, aren't better nor worse than men, as a whole. They are the same: the same scorn is due to the both of them!"
(translated, so I really hope I could convey the concept)
Not only in gaming, but in life too, imo, the fact that you're male, female or hermaphrodite doesn't add, nor erase anything to the value you have as a person. A container has little to do with the content, afterall...

I wonder if they realize they're saying that women aren't treated differently while some of the people on this thread are horrifically sexist... Naaaaah, that would require intelligence.

I am more forgiving if the female player is... 'less skilled', because I am nice.
