I've been following a guide book that talks about talking to a spirit in phylactery in the elven ruins during the werewolf storyline.  I found one phylactery in the ruins, but you end up fighting a revenant.  I killed the Revanant, but didn't get a key or much of anything else for my trouble. The area that the guide book points to in the "Lower Elven Ruins" has a locked door requiring a key, but I was unable to find one anywhere.  There is also an altar and a well with a water jug outside the locked door.  I tried doing different things with the water, the altar, etc. but can't get any kind of reaction.  Anyone have this problem?

Go south from the room that contains the jug, the room after that only helps you get the last piece of Juggernaut Armor. Keep going south and the passageway should split into two directions, left and right(or west and east). The room on the left should lead to the phylactery room, but you will need to kill some undead first. You should be able to figure what to do from there, but post if you have any more difficulty. You don't need a key to enter the room.

Thanks Mike 3207 for pointing me in the right direction regarding Arcane Warrior.  I thought I covered every inch of ground the first time, but the ruins are rather maze-like.  Hopefully, I'll find the right room.

I just found out that locked room had nothing to do with Arcane Warrior and required an Elven ritual to unlock.  (Now I have to seek out the other pieces of armor in the forest.)

Update:  I found the phylactery per Mike3207's directions and unlocked Arcane Warrior.  Prior to unlocking it, my mage was due to level up 1 and I saw that Arcane Warrior was now unlocked, but I didn't see any tree of new abilities open up.  How does Arcane Warrior work?  Should I ditch the mage's robes for armor?  What about weapons?  Still use the staff?

Should be 4 spells or what you want to call it in the Arcane Warrior tree. When you choose the first you get an aura/effect that makes your magic count as strength. So 40 magic = 40 str. Means you can equip heavy armor and weapons. More or less play as a mage in armor. The fatigue from heavy armor will carry on to your mana, meaning you can cast less spells in heavy armor and regenrate slower (if i am not mistaken)

There are alot of different playstyles. I usually play a mage in full plate and as a tank, builld my spells around negating others defenses, and supporting myself and my team. I also like to use alot of cc for my playstyle. Using paralyze, petrify, crushing prison, force field etc.

In my opinion you should check out http://dragonage.wik...or_spellcasting it tells you what spells you can use with your weapon out and what spells needs the weapon to be sheathed. Can build your character around talents like that.

Also, you need to put a specialization point into AW first. You get one of these at level 7 and another at level 14.
