^I'm about to start one on cake vs pie.

Picake.

The clumsy portmanteau is needed as my preference for cake is marginal.

All weapons in ME3 could be taken into Platinum and be usable - compare that to DAMP were only a few weapons can actually be used on higher difficulties. I have yet to see anyone take Inquisition weapons onto Perilous and do well. I cant say the same about ME3 and an Avenger

u mean Avenger X, right? I get your point but the games have different mechanics... For example, there are two shield in DAMP that have the same property, +3 guard on hit, one is the Magehunter and there is another(which i don't know the name...), Magehunter is basically an improved version of the lower level shield, as it has more armor. Basically, if you analise the system at its core, you see that not every weapon is perilious material cause there are other weapons that do what they do better, or have some other quality that is an improvement, these work as an upgrade, just like gear level in ME.

Also, this may be me being a noob, but i don't see how an Avenger (X) could be as good as a Harrier in Platinum, those pretorians would laugh at your peashooter as sinc-kill you into stopping tickling them.

But that's my point due to the way DAMP is set up there is very little reason to choose a weak weapon with the same property over a stronger version. In ME3 you can take an Avenger into Plat and still do very well (especially if your playing a power based kit) in ME3 you have yo factor in DPS, weight capacity (which effects power recharge), magazine size etc. Using a Harrier X can be a real pain on some maps were its hard to resupply.

That's an X-box thing apparently. I tend to get stunlocked or knocked down and then stunlocked in DAIMP much more frequently than in ME3.

I was starting to think DAMP was even worse than the Geth for stunlock.....Then I went back and played a Gold game against Geth - trying to reload-cancell only to be staggered by a geth Hunter trapped in a submissive net :|

In ME3MP I was often about to starve, but most times I managed to live from shield gate. Every character had a cooldown-based elusive coin of their own. Reckless behaviour got you killed, but once you got into it, it was amazing how reckless you could actually be.

No, unnerfed EDI of mine gave it a good footjob and it didn't bother me much after that.

Yes, that's an X-box frame rate or off host lag issue is exactly what I'm talking about. On PC at 60 fps, you can recover and run away or dodge if timed correctly. I know a few people who stopped complaining a lot about stun lock once they started playing at 60 fps. Take Slasher as an example. He is now complaining about cerberus claiming that collectors in the only fair fraction. Cerberus is way worse than geth IMO mostly due to dragon/phantom bs.

In DAIMP, every, even 1 hp damage harmless archer shot stuns, every collision with any animal interrupts. Knock downs cannot be dodged or avoided in most cases and getting up takes full 4 seconds, no exceptions, no canceling. There are no means to recover from stunlock either as there is no self-revive, no ops pack with invincibility frame, and no cobra to clear it up around you. Also, despair demon wall hack makes kiting impossible as well. Now, try that in ME, and I mean literally. Like every assault trooper bullet that hits you stuns you regardless of whether you have shields/barrier or not. Must admit, sometimes, barrier in DAI helps to avoid being stunned but guard certainly does not. Although projectiles can generally be "strifed".

Entered an existent dragon game on perilous as a mid level keeper.  Had all my main skills upgraded barrier, chain lighting, static cage, frost step.  Crack open some pots as I run up to the group fighting up top.  Kill one enemy, static cage a group of them, see an archer almost dead so I run over asap and barrier the guy just as he gets hit.  Finish the wave, I grab a couple more pots just sitting there for the taking.   KICKED!

Yeah the in game kick dynamic is real good.  I would say that I have been kicked out of more games than I have been in groups that actually kicked a player.

Damn you and your superior frame-rates!

After some thinking in hindsight, now I remember how I used to be an elitist mofo, individualist scorewh0rer, N7 rank sucker, antisocial pug-hater in ME3MP. In DAMP I am the opposite in almost every aspect, because DAMP forced me to focus on team play and to like people better.
So yeah, being more team-oriented is one serious improvement of DAMP over ME3MP.

Like how at the end of the match no one cares what the score was because it's close to meaningless.

ME3 had some team playing too. Like, 4 Nova Guards chain/chargin praetorians out of their sync-kill.

Makes me want to get a 4 of a kind series started on DAMP too...

I like this too.  No one really cares about epeen scores in a DAMP game.  In some way, I hope they make scores irrelevant or meaningless in ME4mp too.  Or maybe just get rid of them all together.  I think that would be nice.

Uh, me3mp and damp are two different beasts. You can't really compare the two. Damp is turn-based play translated into real time whereas me3mp is a shooter. Same company, yes. Same gameplay, no. I love me3mp, too, but it had and still has problems. And csmg is better on the GE than the GI. There are much better options for the GI, but the GE can rock it with incendiary ammo. Personally? I like tempest on ge. I take that over hurricane and csmg, usually.

People from different corners of the planet sharing the same lobby, this makes me want to go play some ME3MP already  ;)
I love d_nought's videos. Never played with this dude, despite the fact that I used to live in his remote region (Australia) when I was big into ME3MP. This tells how region free ME3MP was.

Now, while a team of 4 friends playing as a team can work well, pug games are all about being individualist and kill-stealing. ME3MP is a DPS race and it rewards high-DPS, individualist gameplay, while DAMP discourages such a thing giving minimal team XP to those who play as such.
