Imported my ME1 Shepard and I'm still blown away. Barely six hours into..... the graphics... even with me SE360 verison and my small tv...... DAMN! Looking back at ME1 now....is.... yeah.....

Totally ran to customize my quarters! Importing a Lv.56 gives you quite the bonsues with cash :) barely started, and somehow I have 200 thousand credits already....

Anyways just nabbed the wine for Dr. Chakwas..... and oh boy did she jump into her own character from ME1!!

anyone else sit back and have a glas of wine with her? I w as not expecting that at all!!

I keep replaying the convo just because I like it so much!Image IPBImage IPB

To me, Dr. Chakwas and Joker decisions to leave the Alliance and join Shepard and Cerberus have REALLY moved me and my Femshep so far!Image IPB

I am annoyed I couldnt' find a conversation about when Joker got improved legs. They're obviously not perfectly functional, but he's walking fine.

I like Miranda's soft side.

Samara is a really cool character.

I think they've all surprised me a bit.

The Professor.

I didnt think I would like him at first from what I read about his character on the website, but he is quickly becoming a favorite behind Garrus and Tali. I mean he is so freakin hilarious!!

Saeed is a bit too hardcore for my tastes. Surprised about Garrus being more of an assassin than he was in ME1.

I thought Grunt was going to be a carbon copy of Wrex, glad I was wrong.. his backstory really sets him apart.

Liara surprised me, she's a total B now  and she lost the good looking face of hers, and when she talks fuidly instead of the cautious ackward talking scholar, she's just another B Asari Image IPB Image IPB

almost all of them, I thought legion was gonna be a bad guy, he's actually pretty interesting. Samara, was awesome, (and she has nice ta-tas), her character development is really cool. pretty much the only one that diddnt really surprise me is miranda, I guess I'm just used to the somewhat sweetness of Yvonne Strahovski in her role on chuck. That and considering they used her face for the model, I personally  think she looks WAY hotter as a blonde. So but yeah she was pretty much your standard issue "daddy issues" hot chick. I guess the only thing that surprised me about her was how much of a **** she was, I mean I knew she was that sort of humans first character but she was seriously pretty annoying at times.

I don't like how things have gone with Liara. I kind of knew Shepard would hook up with Miranda but to see Liara acting in such a way and to totally just disregard her past relationship with him is way out of character and the way she described in in ME1 as a joining of minds and a spiritual thing.

To see her just dismiss it now is kind of upsetting

Grunt's backstory was totally different. With all the spoilers floating around, I was amazed to see the roots of this "young Krogan."

Ashley's reunion was also surprising, they definitely had fun with a misleading teaser on teh interwebs, there.

Grunt, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that he's not the stupid meatbag that the hype made him out to be.

Same here,  Liara really disappointed me.  She lost all of her charm and sweetness.  Its pretty telling that helping her out gives you renegade points.  I was worried there would be some issues of still liking Liara when I switched to Tali, but not anymore.  The real Liara must have died at some point in the last two years.  Which is sad, because the old Liara would have loved the new information about the collectors...

Improved legs?  We never saw him walk in ME1, granted, but he talked about getting up to go to the bathroom and other stuff.  All this 'barely walk/can't walk' is fanon, not canon.  It's something fans have gotten in their heads that is said nowhere in the story.

Jacob, first of all. I paid 0 attention to him earlier. Turns out he's a pretty decent guy, however, I found his personal quest to be... confusing. I felt that there was no explanation for his father's motivation for doing all that.

Grunt, too. They definitely aimed for a Star Trek feel with this. I was also impressed by his backstory (including Okeer).

Mordin didn't surprise me that much because I kinda guessed they were going to make him special. What did surprise me, however, is how great his quest is.

Like somebody said here, all of them surprised me in some way. The game itself exceeded my expectations. So it's hard to point out one single favourite part.

Me too.  Jack takes the battle to the enemy.  I have to be ready to give her a new life if she gets in over her head. However, it's not often.

Grunt + Jack will be my team for awhile.

there is something going on with Liara obviously. Something has happened that we are not clear of. God, I hope we have a lot of substantial dealings with her in the future. I need some answers.

Mordin Solus really caught my interest. I was originally expecting him to be a "former doctor with a brutal attitude" sort of character where he wouldn't think twice about putting down patients that were "impossible" to save.

With his rather eccentric behavior and his clearly "middle of the road" mentality, he has earned a place in my book of immortal characters.

On the other hand, I was constantly looking for a way to space Jack/Subject Zero. Mostly because I didn't like her hostile attitude and her "gangsta-street" way of talking. It was just so out of my character personally to even allow someone like that to be part of my squad. If I'd had the option, I would have executed her and tossed her out the airlock.

That doesn't mean I'm not sympathetic to her situation, though. Her loyalty quest is interesting, but I'm still unconvinced.

Regarding Liara, if you read the comic that came with the CE/DDE it explains somewhat why Liara is this way now. Without spoiling too much she went through hell and back trying to find Shep and a good friend of hers died in the process.

I wouldn't be a naive little scientist anymore either if I spent a year and change on Omega working for the shadow broker.

-edit-

Her face looks that way because of the lighting and she is older now. A drop in the bucket for asari but still.

Liara definitely surprised me with "Have you ever faced an Asari Commando Unit? Few Humans have" line that she lifted from her mother.

But Mordin really has been standing out the most with his very logical and rational approach to everything, even with his artistic, spiritual and guilt-ridden side. From the previews he didn't seem very interesting and he just jumped to life right away.

Mordin got to me, and indeed convinced me - after playing solid Paragon through ME1 and a good bit of ME2 - that the genophage wasn't all that bad a thing. My hopes are for Okeer's Legacy.
