When playing a t-sent, what's better against a banshee when she still has barriers up, warp or overload?

First Warp to debuff, then Overload for 15% more damage. If you have Biotic teammates then spam Warp only.

If everything fails go in and TECH ARMOR! Auto-win cheap button  :P

(you need to time the power hits between her jumps, otherwise they get blocked by the shield)

Use a Claymore with Warp Ammo. She loves a huge load on her face.

It depens on many circumstances, first of all your equipped gun.

Deerbra pls. I though after so much time playing, you'd figure out that Tsent doesn't need guns, only TECH ARMOR!

Well, a gun with a power mod doesn't hurt, in that case :P

I hear she's a real screamer.

Overload detonation window is too short for you to be able to hit it most of the time.  Especially with tech armor up.

Overload does more damage than Warp against barriers, but Warp gives a 15% damage bonus to weapon and power damage. With a decent gun, the sequence Warp-shoot-Overload is probably the best.

It also depends if you have biotic or tech teammates, of course.

If you're on your own, the bonus damage to your gun and Overload has to exceed 844 on Gold or 1097 on Platinum between Warp and Overload casts to justify casting Warp first. 844 or 1097 damage is the tech burst damage you get if you go the Overload+Warp route.

This topic gave Sinful a great build idea for the TSent.

Thanks for looking at the math, I was too lazy for that.

I looked at the math. Got a migraine. Then I found this spreadsheet.

If specced into the combo damage evolution with Warp, you deal 50% extra damage with the TB too.

edit: "Despite its wording, Warp's detonate evolution will not increase non-biotic combo damage."

Nevermind.

Sinful was hoping to run into Banshees the 3 games he just did with the TSent. Wants to know if you Overload one, then Warp > Hand of denial > Warp again to bypass Hand of Denial because fast enough cooldown = if the Banshee is still primed for Tech Burst. Doesn't seem likely, but should be tested still.

Well we can look at something like Dark Channel for a possible clue.  If you cast Dark Channel successfully on a Banshee, and then someone does something to proc the Hand, Dark Channel is still active.  Once she goes back into teleportation mode, can you detonate that same instance of Dark Channel, or do you need to cast a new one?

Either way, in the case of Overload it will probably be past the detonation window.

Prime and debuff then hit with warp ammo. You might can throw in overload to reload hide as well
