So, I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but oh well.

 

I've recently started ME1 again after getting the Steam version. Needless to say, I don't have my old saves or achievements. Saves, I'm planning on a new playthrough anyway, but I really don't feel like playing more than one, so I thought I'd cheat the achievements and give me some xp through console from time to time to reach lvl 60 in one playthrough.

 

As it turns out, that's not possible. For some odd reason, I'm still capped at lvl 50. Even if I do have the achievement that unlocks lvls 51-60, as well as all the others, I just can't get past lvl 50. I tried to gain xp through the console too, but to no avail. The experience number just disappears once I hit lvl 50.

 

So, I thought I'd check here to see if anyone knows of a workaround for this. I mean, it's not a big deal, I know, but I'd like to import a lvl 60 into ME2. And no, there's 0 chance in hell that I'm gonna do a second playthrough.

I'm probably the wrong guy to answer this question (I'm a console scrub), but the only workaround I can suggest trying:

 

1) Make a save (unless you have one already) sometime before the end of the game.

2) Finish the game at level 50, get the achievement.

3) Reload the save, cheat to give yourself more XP.

4) Finish the game at level 60.

 

Would that work?

AFAIK first playthrough has a level 50 cap. So you want to start new game plus.

 

But i have no idea what you'll get by exporting from beginning of NG+, might need to finish it again.

Eh, I tried that, it didn't work. Was to be expected, since I had the achievement before hitting lvl 50 too. Thanks for lending a hand tho

Yeah, thanks for the suggestion, but that ain't gonna happen. I'd have to go through all the game again. I'd rather use the lvl 50 save at that point.

Did you create the character before unlocking the achievement? That would be why it is capped.

I would not worry about it. Just mod your ME2 save with gibbed to make up the level difference at import

Did you play on hardcore Hardcore and unlock Insanity? I think I get level 50+ in a single NG after I unlock get Hardcore achievement since it came with bonus xp. I didn't really notice the cap tho...
