Why bother with the Krogan Warlord?

I'm terrible with the krolord and that's why I like it. It's the only class left that gets me sync killed twice a game which gives me something to actually work towards. Plus, y'know, giant hammer and stuff. Hard to complain about that.

I'll pick the warlord over a juggy any day.

^ Long term replay value wise, affirmative. Due to more variety in gameplay/tactics + ability to run. Geth Juggernaut is the easiest kit to figure out do to simplicity.

My 3 pet peeves when it comes to PUGS Horrible Fury players that drop every 5 seconds Melee Only Juggs that still cant stay alive and Electric Hammer using only Krolords that get syncd every single wave and they complain about it.

Krolord is godlike in the hands of a player who knows all the sync kill triggers.

If you're trolling OP, I'll bite; if you're serious this may help some warlord woes:
1.) Put points in tech armor. As has already been stated several times, you get double the benefit of extra DR and a stagger attack. A staggered phantom can't put her sword through you
2.)For phantoms besides tech armor, sometimes the biotic hammer will trigger her bubble. As long as the phantom's bubble is up, you can't be sync'd. Hulk smash her as much as possible during this time.
2A.)If you do mess up and the sync animation comes up, pop an ops pack right before the sword shanks you. OPs packs grant an invulnerability frame which can save. Yes it's true the game may not register the OPs pack at all or will post fact and still charge you, but there is a chance.
3.)Brutes can be one shot killed with the biotic hammer depending on how you spec the character. Watch for the chest bump and roar, that's the cue they can sync.
3A.)I may be wrong on this one, but I think the brute's sync can also be thwarted with an Ops pack though I'm not sure on the timing for the I-frame.
4.)Scions can also be taken down quickly with the biotic hammer. Just back off when they start to counter swing and wait for them to start shooting again. Unless you're being shot at by everything on the map, the warlord should have enough health to take the hit close in and counter smash
5.)Praetorians these are the tricky bastards, at least for me as I don't know their cues. Best advice I have is attack them from the rear, back off when they turn to face you, and do not biotic hammer while the bubble is up.
6.)Banshees (yes I went out of faction order deal with it). They're actually simple to deal with. Pelt them at range while they charge and wait until they throw a warp ball then run up and smash. You're safe until they tuck and scream. The reegar and lancer are great for wearing down the banshee to trigger the warp animation.
7.) Learn the maps so you can figure out where you're flanks and rear could be at risk as well as be able to back away from the sync killers coming at you head on if they're primed.

Heresy!
I used to run around with my Krogan Soldier or Sentinel, bashing the faces of every little enemy that dared to look at me funny. But I always stared wistfully at Brutes, Geth Primes, Banshees, Scions, etc., because I knew that I would lose a melee battle with them. I had to sit back and use my stupid guns and powers to kill them, longing for the day when I could bash their stupid faces too. Then, the almighty Biower blessed us with a big Krogan with a big biotic hammer and health regeneration and said, "Here you go, friend! Here is thy salvation! Go forth and bash them up real good. And if a Banshee should desire to disembowl thee, remember to parketh thy @$$ on a stairway." And it was good.

You might want to try using something like this: http://kalence.drupa...13R56363!GA.EEH
Every non-boss unit dies on gold with a single biotic hammer smash, including phantoms. If you keep his rage going (a single running HM kill will do), you´ll actually have to try getting him killed with his health regen. Mop up bosses last (or let the Piranha GIs and Harrier TGIs deal with them), some good hints on how to approach them are already in this thread. His triple light melee biotic hammer combo inflicts ridiculous amounts of damage.
He´s one fat bastard of a target for the likes of Scions and Turrets, so run around a lot, abuse his tracking hammer melee and enjoy his laughter with the carnage you are inevitably inflicting.

With all my Krogans minus the KroLord.. I engage melee into bosses constantly. I just know the signs for about to be crunched. I will take on a fully Shielded Prime or Atlas .... Praetorian...nope ..Once in a while when I know the coast is clear to bash it's face in. Banshee's , If a KroLord..use weapon to take barrier down, then make sure 2 bars of her Armor are gone before mashing with the Biotic hammer..If other Krogans..hit n run ..playing chicken with Banshee can be entertaining if nothing else. Phantom, Tech Armor, shoot, light melee then hammer.

Never. As awesome as Inferno Grenades are, they are less fun than bashing stuff in the face.

As a connoisseur of Batarians, I'll agree that face-bashing is quite fun. But there's nothing like the impromptu Inferno Grenade dance party.

This is the exact same build that I use, except I use Disruptor Ammo, and I sometimes use the GPS, Graal, or Venom. Armor damage isn't a problem with Biotic Hammer, but boss shields can get annoying. The only problem enemy with that setup is Praetorians.
EDIT: BTW, everyone should use the Adrenaline Mod on the Warlord. His strength is health regen and using your DR from melee and Tech Armor so that your health regens faster than the enemies can drain it. I see tons of people using a Cyclonic on him, which is pretty much useless, because he's so slow that your shields get dropped before you even make a dent in the enemies, and you end up fighting with your shields broken most of the time anyway. Adrenaline Mods help you get to the enemies quicker and switch between enemies quicker, or to get out of the way quicker if a Scion or Ravager or Turret opens up on you. Adrenaline Mod all the way.

The Batarian Soldier might be my #1 class, so I'm with you there. I love Inferno Grenades, but they're not one of the more "fun" powers on the game. DOT is boring. Now, if you can get a dance party going, that ups the fun factor. Stupid shields. I'm playing only Bronze from now on.

Best of all, it's not only cool, it's effective.
Double-stagger Explosive Blades do a surprising amount of damage, keep enemies locked down fairly well, have a relatively fast recharge time, and make Phantoms cry.
