So what options to choose on haft and pummel ?

From experience I'd recommend the tier 3 haft n pummel that have cloth (if you got enough cotton or better for HoK ) , got +17HoK on my maul which I use with Avar..think I've got constitution as well and crit..would prioritise abilities/stats that keep your Avar alive before anything else.. also craft best armor possible and put the best heal bonus armor upgrade and constitution you got..

Yup it's the best until you have lots and lots of promotes, then you can go full damage with criticals on everything.

I should point out that my suggestion is based off having very few promotes.. am one of those odd balls that cant seem to get my head around starting over once level 20 is reached ..

Curious, because all the purple Dragon weapons I have pulled don't have slots for anything but a rune.

The Maul is the only dragon item that has 2 upgrade slots plus rune slot..

I thought the bow had a slot too. I only have the Maul, though I recently got the superb HOK ring so I took out the cloth upgrade I had on the weapon.

 

Edit: guess not. Funny that Maul is the only one. Please don't nerf.

are the weapons on that list confirmed to be the top damage amounts you can get?

Those are not the top damage values.  Would be nice to have a list that shows them.

There are people that like the firm tournament axe over caliban or dragon longsword. Those people are stupid.

 

Heal on Kill and Constitution is a very fair way to do things. Critical chance is a very fair way to do things.

 

Once you do have 50% or better critical chance from all sources though, you'll want to start considering swapping items out for Critical bonus damage gear. Disgustingly awesome damage.

well, i do prefer firm tournamen axe, as i am only at 10 promotions so far.

 

i dont think there are many ppl who have more than 20-30 promotions in every stat

 

it's a bit overkill to call people stupid just because up to a certain point it's better to use the FTA

 

anyways, once you get to a certain point, its better to use 'Song of the Marshes' or 'Caliban'?

bitter ax is better than both  and HOK  is stll important till you get over 100/100/100  it may seem not needed but its a nice cushion
