We often talk about balance changes to abilities, but what about passives?

Well razors edge passive should be given a tweak, it's one of the things the hunter claims to distinguishes himself but still not enough compared to archer opportunity knocks/take them down.

This!

People think the Hunter is the shotgunner because of On Razor's Edge, while in reality, the default Flanking Damage mechanic gives the far greater boost. If that doesn't convince you, it's noteworthy that because of this, Hook & Tackle is a complete waste. The LS + HT combo is fun but ultimately misguided nonsense. You're limiting youself by using it; let alone the effort to get it, because it is, like all his signature skills, at the bottom of the tree. Running up to an enemy and LS'ing off their backs does substantially more damage, and costs nothing.

Why does the Archer get an awesome Flanking Passive he can't quite make use of? Not saying he should be nerfed, just questioning the reasoning in comparison.

I recommend maybe buffing the damage boost of On Razor's Edge a little -maybe proprotional to the exact distance to the enemy to not make it OP- and add a Flanking Damage bonus to the skill (assuming you can't just alter a skill tree without opening Pandora's Box).

Most of the passives are built in such a way that I need a patch to change them :(
However, I don't think the stat ones are like this so I can probably do a tweak to that for next Friday.

Not to sound ungrateful, but... why is this a problem? Companies make patches all the time, sometimes for certain segments of the game unaffected by others (i.e singleplayer vs multiplayer). I think a lot of people would appreciate some significant balance changes, even if it requires some patching to do.

It just means his ability to change things between patches is limited. They're making patches as well, but patches come less frequently.

That's if the ability decides to work, so many times I have a spirit up and don't get revived or you die and just bleed out instead of even going into this spirit form. Annoys me that any HOK you gain whilst in that form does nothing to revive you also, if you get full HP due to HOK in spirit form it should res you. I play the necro a lot and it's one of my favourite characters but I hate that this passive is not optional because it get's in my way.

Yeah ideally they should make it clear because right now I sort of don't know what to expect when in similicrum - either nuke the enemies or try to revive a fallen party member. I still think it would be a bit buffed and lead to nice strategic play if cool downs were were non existent in its state and if you reach a certain threshold say 70 ‰ health upon its ending you get an auto revive if not you go to the fade.

I believe big companies (like Bioware/EA) have to pay microsoft and sony certification fees.  Apparently they arent cheap either.  I've heard somewhere around $10,000 per company per patch.  Of course thats just what ive heard from other people, gotta ask bioware how much it really costs.

There are requests to buff x abilities/passives and many buffs were made - then everyone complains about the game getting too easy. Sense much?

Building off of this, it might not be a bad idea to just increase the stat boosts on underpowered passives (that aren't just the stat boost passive) as a stopgap measure.  Give evade a point or two of Cunning or something like that.

you be kidding, few offensive skills that the keeper have, you can't suggest this out of question  or not

No, just nerf the AW's.

Oh and if we could remove it's ability to generate barrier on said character that would be super.

I never want to hear "here frerrnds" ever again.
