Is there a minimum amount of crit chance you should have before this becomes awesome or put it on straight away? Looking for pointers/advice about this ring.
Side note : This was one of 3 accessories left I needed super hp/crit dmg/cd . Before I bought the 15k chest i said to myself "Myself lets buy a large chest and see if we get lucky and get one of those 3 accessories" . Open large chest and sure enough there sits the super crit dmg ring lol what are the odds.

I think on classes which will yield more crits (Assassin, Alchemist, Archer, Hunter, Reaver, Duelist) then you can just whack it on right away. For all other classes id probably want at least 30 rogue promotions before putting it on without thinking about it.
Archer benefits from crit damage with the Sneak Attack passive (double crit chance with flanking attacks), so that's one possibility. Otherwise, characters with Stealth and Knife in the Shadows, since that means auto-crits from stealth. Reaver gets auto-crits vs. feared/sleeping enemies from the Deathblow passive, so a Reaver with War Horn would benefit.

you can craft a decent amount of crit chance on the tier 3 schematics to help out as well. As for the characters I can think of that will benefit the most with certain passives taken to guarantee critical hits or highly increase the likelihood of them happening:
1) Archer and Alchemist w/ sneak attack or knockout bomb/mercy killing combo
2) Reaver w/ War Horn and Deathblow for guaranteed crits
3) Hunter and Assassin w/ Knife in the shadows for guaranteed crits
4) Katari w/ Opportunist for increased crit chance while attacking enemies from behind. Charging Bull is really helpful with setting this up.
those are probably the best, but if you focus your crafting on crit chance, then you can use it on more characters with good success.
