This topic was meant to talk seriously about serious matters. It is now infested by spam, despite the kind request of not spamming.

Enjoy the lowest reaches humanity has come to.

I refreshed and saw the name in question change... if I refresh again will I get a 3rd name?

I imagine the world as a whole will breathe a collective sigh of relief...

Either that or it would just be my neighbors having an excessively loud orgasm.

There's nothing excessive about a good orgasm.

Probably whichever situation that had a hand in my death at the time.

Now in earnest, that's a futile topic to discuss. It is proven beyond doubt that people can not reliably predict their own reactions to high stress situations unless they have ample experience with it (I'm going to assume not a lot of people have extensive prior experience with dying) and even experience and very specific training only helps to reduce the impact of stress by providing trained routines to fall back on, none of which is much applicable when you're in the process of dying. Plus all the neat things that shock can do to you. Ergo, whatever answer you may have had/predicted/imagined is entirely possible to turn out wrong because your body/psyche said otherwise in the end.

This thread is now extremely depressing... 0/10 needs more Doritos and Mountain Dew.

Unless if it's from Sen, assuming you are, in fact; the person he is using.

Also when I die I want to ruin someone's party. Preferably Sim's party.

And you're only encouraging people to spam. I think the only response that this thread needs is Fidite's one.

Just in case you didn't know, announcing that you are reporting people can be interpreted as provocation and is generally not recommended by moderators. If you report people, do it and let bureaucracy do its thing.

No I didn't, I did a disclaimer which you and others are not respecting. If I have to report any one of you I will. If you don't have anything intelligent to say, stay shut, or show your stupidity (but it will gain a report).

I'm announcing it because apparently people here are too uncaringly stupid to respect a user.

I'm going to refer to your prior comment:

I'm pretty sure that a realistic take on the hypothetical question you've posed is an intelligent thing to say. May not be the kind of response you'd prefer, but I am perfectly on-topic. If my aforementioned conclusion regarding the potential for actual discussion is not to your liking, feel free to disagree, same as I did.

But ye olde "don't post if you don't like" attitude is as unnecessary as it is unwelcome in any forum.

You've not spammed, I just commented on your answer, which was "legit" but nonsensical, since you're stating it's futile to discuss about it and yet writing about it.

Other spam posts are unwelcomed because

1 - off topic, despite the warning/polite request I made

2 - Unrespectful of me and what I wrote

"Intellectual" quote? Check. Dead sense of humour? Check. I detect a five foot pole up your ass that needs surgical removal. Though to be fair, I will answer your question seriously.

It's a futile process, something not worth even thinking about. What do I think will happen upon the moment of my death? Nothing. I can think of a thousand possibilities, each as unlikely as the next and it will do no good. It's sort of like that one philosophical question answered through jargon, useless terminology and endless prattle when the answer was so simple as to say 'yes.'

What sort of reflection could I go through that would answer that question? It isn't something I can answer because it's not worth answering, hence, my need to **** post. Suppositional reasoning nor hypothetical reasoning can really do much when the conclusion is a solid 'I don't know.'

Oh, and please just get rid of that boring-stick-in-the-mud personality of yours, it's incompatible with general rule of crazy here. I don't respect users who feel they need something to prove with their faux-maturity and what not. People like Crusty and Chewin who can both have fun and write compelling arguments and sophisticated prose are the people I vote for.

Secondly, telling people not to do something is the best way to get people to do it. I admit, I had that ASOIAF quote in me the moment I saw the topic title and thought it would be fun to put it in here, but the moment I saw a glimpse at that oh-so-glorious sense of superiority I just had to do it.

Thirdly, Fidite posted something well thought-out and you just slammed it down like nothing. If you wanted philosophy then post somewhere that isn't a gaming forum. He had an intelligent opinion and so he posted it. Demanding a specific answer in an open thread for debate is going to put you down as a douche.

So, the next time you deem to insult people's intelligence, perhaps you need to "reflect" on your own. You might be a genius in your area of expertise, but when it comes down to social networking and how to handle a forum you've clearly had experience in I'm afraid you're a bit out-of-touch.

The question is as simple as it appears, although it requires some reflection before answering.

p.s.

Please don't spam here. If you don't like the topic of discussion, or you feel you have to say something cool and funny, just don't write in here. I prefer having zero replies than hundreds of them full of humour and nonsense.
Thanks.

I will die, all bodily functions and neurological activity will cease. I imagine in the seconds and or minutes leading up to my death I will more than likely have several panic induced hallucinations. It's that simple, I take comfort in the fact that my body will in time nourish grass, plants, trees and the wildlife that feeds on and or resides within them.

Okay. *coughs* I shall be serious for a few moments.

Your question in itself is a question to which one cannot give a proper answer to. A proper answer to this question would require a lot of meta-knowledge about our own death or possible deaths.  Which if we had such knowledge would render your question useless.

The best possible answer to your question is that I could die tomorrow. I could pop a blood vessel in my brain causing a hemorrhagic stroke, a burglar could break in and kill me, I could slip, fall and split my head open or I could choke on food.

How can I predict how I will die if there are so many variables? It's a foolish thing to think about.

As in regards to your attitude it comes off as extremely arrogant and demanding in the way "This is my thread and these are my rules. If you post things that I don't deem worthy you are beneath me" <- Twas my interpretation.

Threatening people with reporting removes any credibility and respect you might have had. Not because of the tattle-tail rule but because you're threatening them. Last time I checked people don't like being threatened.

As Sim said previously Off-Topic is full of crazy personalities. Off-topic is where people come that are sick of the vitriol and circular arguments of the other forums so we tend to not take stuff seriously or personally since we all know no one is being serious. There is the occasional serious conversation though it doesn't turn into a circular argument... usually. It either stops or devolves into memes and sh*tposting.
