Having Played the game off and on causally, stopping on my first play through, even though I was to a point where finishing the The game at any time, or moving on to the finishing plot was available.

these are Emotional, and immersion or either Aggravating problems, or at the very least Bothersome problems to me, as a Casual Player, nothing more, I am not God to the gaming world, and I know those type will love pounding any thing I say, these are just things I dis like about the game, most are just personal issue's. I was just expressing them. Not meaning to Offend anyone.

1. "Inquisition-er!" Every time some one who has no intentions of saying anything to me in the game says that, it makes my skin crawl. I want to sit in that chair, and pass judgement on them, have them boiled in oil, while Sera, explains the bird's, and the bees to them.

2. I do not think the female Player Armor, could have been any Uglier, if they had allow a kindergartener to finger paint it on. ( there are a few exception's, but one of the most irksome to me is actually one of the better as far as specifications that can be placed on It.

3. How ever as to my pet peeve in Point (2.) Most of my Companion's are for the most part dressed reasonable well, while I run around the court yard in my Armor padding, and nothing else, and I look like a well used Trash can when I am in combat area's.

4. The quest's are for me such a puzzle? I know they wanted to leave freedom, and choice to the player [ I like that part very much ], But this may be misunderstood by many, as it is hard to place into a good description, I feel very lost as to what to do next or I don't have a destination point that I can visualize as to where to go next.

I am on a mission from God, and I like being able to put off what has to be done next to continue the main quest. But with out a walk-through I doubt very seriously I could ever understand what to start, and what not to start, as in continue on the main mission, or hold up, and do a few quest's, and power up a little first.

[ I like to never figured out how to make the Spirit blade thing to become a Knights Enchanter] (Kept going to the Place where you make Weapon's)

5. [As to Item's] How important is this thing I just picked up? So many Item's, and so little understanding of there purpose, and so little control over there management, or the ability to manage them, and even less knowledge as to what they are even in the game for.
Resorting to Web pages, and forums that say "awe just go to the creature study board, and turn in all you creature part's and sell the rest", is sort of depressing.

6. [This is personal thing] For a game with such a wonderful fantasy setting, and great vistas. Most every character in the game is really Ugly. I mean this may be a realistic thing, and I kind of understand that, but it's a fantasy, I don't want it to be totally real world, I can see characters that look like these, down, at the Mall, or in some dingy back alley club. I sort of would like to escape this reality in my dream world, or Fantasy, but as I said this is just a personal peeve.

7. "Minor Peeve about Game design" A[The frostbite Engine is so poorly optimized, that it is a wonder anyone can play this game, with out considerable tweaking of main graphics settings.] B[Making a poor Texture 4096x4096 res, does not make it better, it will force people to upgrade to expensive new Vid card's to play at high resolution's, and to turn up all the settings. I figure all games get major kick backs from Hard ware seller's. So this is a make fan's of the series go buy new stuff]

8.  I do hate that I am such and idiot that every time I go into battle, even though I have learned 12 or 14 great spells. I can only remember 8. I guess I personally am running on and 8 bit Computer, and am playing the game on a multi core system, that attempts to compensate, my disability.

9.  The Romance or people that you can Romance, are not very appealing, I did find a few of the scene's as in the next book in the series thing nicely done. Some other thing's were cute. But over all, I really don't have and interest in any of these people, and have pretty much avoided all the Romance Options.

[I hate mentioning this, but in all the Other Bioware Games I have played I tried very much to see all of the Romance option's, in fact they were a driving reason for many of my replay's of those games]

10. I guess that's about it, rest is okay, ( actually quite fun ) I can get use to it,

My sympathy for your frustration.  As far as looks go with armor and weapons, different tastes?  The companions grow on you, and believe it or not, after a while you can see the face under the scars and all and even Bull doesn't look repulsive.  He'd never win a beauty contest, but that's not the point with him.  I agree that in a fantasy game, we want to see attractive people, and I think they've done an awesome job of creating attractive ones that different people can relate to.  What I think is beautiful, you might think is ugly, and who's right?  The same kinda goes for armor.  I really don't care for any of the armors that don't accept upgrades, in terms of how they look, except the one that is modeled on the one Leliana wore in DA2.  The armor of the dragon I got for preordering gets sold the second I get to Haven, because I don't care how much fire resistance it has, I think it looks dumb.  It is worth a nice chunk of coin though, and I can use the money to buy materials to make something I do like the look of.  As far as the stock armors that take upgrades, I prefer the one that looks like a cutaway coat (tuxedo jacket) and detest the one that looks like it has saddlebags.  Not a look I want on my female PC, thanks.  I put up with it until I find something better.  I've seen pictures of players showing off how cool their crafted armor looks, and lo and behold, some folks think the dragon armor looks great.  I'd have never guessed it, but I'm glad they like it.

Romance sort of falls into the same category.  I thought Cullen's, Cass', and Josie's romances were very sweet and fun.  Blackwall's can get pretty deep in terms of personal issues people might relate to.  Iron Bull's is, for me, about developing a relationship with someone when it's not the sex that means something, it's being allowed to get close emotionally.  Dorian's is difficult to describe, since English doesn't seem to be your native language and while it is mine, words don't come naturally.  He's been rejected by his family for being gay and unwilling to conform, and he's a Tevinter and religious and social prejudice against Tevinter make him a liability to even have in the Inquisition, let alone joined at the hip with its leader.  In order to remain in a relationship with him, the inquisitor risks undermining his own cause.  Someone willing to give it all up for love?  Sounds pretty romantic to me.  I still want to try Sera's, but I have to really wait until I don't care if the wacky decisions she wants me to make tick the rest of my friends off.  That actually sounds pretty realistic.  Poor Sera.  I'm not going to even discuss Solas'.  I don't care for his arrogance and while I've pursued a "romance" with him, it pretty much underlined the things I don't care for with him.  Other folks rave about it, but it's not for me.

As far as the 8 hotslot limit, no argument from me.  I know where the tough fights are going to be by now, so I can customize my quickbar for those specific cases, but it's still a sacrifice that irks me.  It's like that because the mouse and keyboard controls are so awkward and horrible, PC gamers will experience less frustration if they're able to use a controller with their PC.  We were warned during a pre-release demo of PC interface when Cameron Lee and Mike Laidlaw were discussing who had to play and what keys they had to remap.  So, even the developers couldn't play it right out of the box without a controller.  Oops.  The PC version of the game doesn't know you're using a controller, I don't think, so they can only have the number of hotslots that there are buttons, for everyone.  I took forever to learn how to use a mouse and keyboard, and experience playing a racing game on my brother-in-law's console taught me that I probably never will be able to use a controller.  That's OK, my problem.  Remapping keys helps a bit.  I understand the why, and that helps me deal with the frustration.  Am I still irked by it?  Yes.  Do I accept it anyway?  Yes.  Other people pay the same as I did, so why should they suffer through miserable controls because I'm a klutz?

You can craft a spirit blade in the requisition building, to the left of Cassandra as you're facing her in the courtyard.  Skyhold upgrades are also done there, though the tripods to do them are in the garden, on the front ramp, and on the battlements by where you met Hawke, in order.

Plot progression and navigation can be done without a guide, but you do have to check your journal and map all the time and keep what you're working on highlighted no matter what Scout Harding says.  It annoys me to no end when you arrive in a new area with quest in hand and she talks to you and changes it.  Keep checking that the inquisition eye is marking the quest you think it is, then you can see on the map where you have to go.  As a suggestion, if you don't see the quest you're looking for, check the headings for Inquisitor's Path, Inner Circle, and specific, small locations, like Skyhold or The Fade.  The world map will highlight the general area you need to go, and once you're there, the local map will show you your destination, although getting there can be tricky.

I hope this helps you deal with your frustration.  If you can hang in there a little longer, it does get easier.  My first time through, I was in the Emprise du Lion before I figured out how to navigate properly.

I love the female player armours. Just need more viariation, but I love the pratical feeling. I hate boob plate and the kind that show unnecessary skin.

I do like the game. These were all personal dislikes. ( I do stress the personal )

4. One of you thought I was having trouble with the Quest system, as in finding quest's. I knew that one was hard to explain or describe. I can use the quest system very well thank you kindly.
No The problem is that the Quest's are poor in direction in many places. as in the early Quest's.

What I have a problem with there is there not fluid, in that you are never really sure just what you should be doing next, in the main quest story line . Some of the quest's are puzzling as in the trouble I had figuring out where to make the Knight's enchanter needed Item ( This is and important part of the game Choices that you make, and should be very clearly explained ). I figured it out, long ago, but had to resort to the web to find out I needed the requisitions table instead of the crafting area.

This was a quest, that when I googled it, had many pages to tab through, with threads that had High hit numbers ( meaning that many had a problem with this ). It was not well explained. [This but one example]

Every time I have played the game I wind up finishing nearly all of Hinterlands before ever moving or figuring out to move on to the meeting in Val Royeaux, and always seem to stall a lot, before doing In Your Heart Shall Burn, and even though I have read walk through info on this, it is still very easy to do. ( this is a shame for me to have to resort to walk-through very much or any is bothersome for me )

Many might respond with well They explained in some obscure web page that this was the case. ( Then again I have to use the web to solve my Problem )

6. The Armor seemed to have been designed by someone with and alternate life style, or that was what I seemed to see.  The Male armor seemed very sensual in nature, with much attention paid to the detail's on the male anatomy ( not all of it, but a lot of it ).

The female Armor on the other hand seemed to try and completely de-emphasize anything that made them female, (this in the Graphics), while the Animator took perhaps extreme motions to try and compensate for this flaw, which I think is very noticeable. Causing a non feminine appearance, that had exaggerated Movement's like Marilyn Monroe. Then slouches when ever she is standing still like some third grader about to be punished by the teacher.

To me it makes the Female Appear to have been sabotaged, almost intentionally. I Would hope that was not the case, but it has that appearance. I personally like Outfit's designed for the Female to allow me choices of "risqué", "Prudish", or "Practical". I think it allows a better personalization of the game play, and the mood of the player, as my choice's in attire are in real life.

>> These were all just Personal Opinion's, and personal dislikes, and personal thoughts on some of the designed in features of the game <<<

8. Except for this one. I find it not just a bad design Choice, but totally stupid. I learn 12 or 14 spells but any time I enter the game I am stricken with Amnesia, and can only remember 8 spells. If I wanted realism, as in clunky female Armor, ( and tight revealing Male Armor ) I should at least respect the wisdom, and learned knowledge of a seasoned Wizard, or Enchanter, and allow them to reveal this knowledge in battle.

>> I like the game very much not as much as the past games in this series, but enough that I have spent many hour's on it, and intend to spend many more <<

>>> It is big, but big does not always make better, and it's basically (Note I said basically ) un modable nature makes it less able to tend to all my disire's in a game. <<
