Youre looking for something to get angry at Leo, go to bed.

Look, Pal, I warned you before, And I am warning you again, Either you add something of value to the conversation or I will have you reported.

The notion is deep-rooted whether i like it or not. Because it's unchallenged.

But you can't prove that it's deep-rooted. And clearly it isn't unchallenged, because there are feminist groups and movements all across the country. Except they aren't making any progress, because the things they campaign for are idiotic and nonsensical.

We know that it's illegal for women to be paid less than men for the same work in the United States and other Western nations, so it's not like the patriarchy is holding women down economically. We know that women can reach the same positions of power as men can, because there are women politicians and CEOs, so it's not like the patriarchy is holding them back in that manner either. There are women-exclusive scholarships and grants to promote women going to college, and there are more university graduates who are female in the United States, across all the different grades of degrees (Bachelor's, Master's, etc), so the patriarchy isn't holding them back in education.

... The patriarchy we live in kind of sucks at oppressing women, doesn't it?

LMFAO youre warning me? I cant take you seriously can I? Ive called you out so many times and youve yet to give me a straight answer. Unlike you, I wont report someone to save my ego. How about you add something of value to the conversation instead of backpeddling and hiding behind memes?

It's not heavy sexual objectification per se, But the comments about her attractiveness and the way they talked portrayed an unaware level of defining females by their level of "hotness". So, I just though i need to address that.

Clarify, i saw nothing in the posts that demanded that Lara should look or behave in a certain way in order to be considered attractive all because she's a female?

They're only idiotic and nonsensical because you're only looking at the rad feminists. I'd advise you to watch Emma Watson speak about her HeForShe Campaign. And it's still unchallenged because society is rejecting feminism. That's why we are busting our asses to change the people's view on feminism.

Actually, I have added all the substance that could be added to the conversation, You just have to look and read. But apparently, You're unfamiliar with the concept. I will have you reported because you're a troll.

What Emma talked about is vastly different from someone saying Lara croft is "hot". Get your priorities str8 leo.

Still got nothing to add I see. Wheres your proof? Wheres your persecution? All youve done is throw inflamatory popculture outrage fuel from youtube instead of addressing the matter at hand. Learn yourself before you wreck yourself foo.

It's not that, It's when that guy said that "You're actually asking people to not fawn over Lara Croft?". That it's a defining attribute of her to be a "Bombshell".

All Ive read is you backpeddling for 2+ pages while alluding to some invisible patriarchal force oppressing women because someone said Lara croft was hot. Youre done here.

That's why we are busting our asses to change the people's view on feminism.

Feminism is not necessary and has not been necessary for the last half century. Women are in top positions of power, women earn the same amount of money as men, women are given added incentives to go into STEM fields and women graduate college in higher numbers than men do.

Why do we need feminism, exactly? Because some poor special snowflake had her feelings hurt?

to be fair, while human rights have marched on in the right direction women still face inequalities that need to be rectified.

This again?

Feminism is here to counter this deeply-rooted concept of misogyny that doesn't seem to be fading away. To protect women and to make them equally represented. And to prevent this notion of that females are a male property. There are tons of other reasons. Moderate Feminism equals Cultural Gender Equality.

We shouldn't assume intent based on a vague response. Did they speciffically say that her physical appearance is the only defining feature that's appealing about her?

*Women* (as a group) don't face anything. Some women might face some inequality, but by no means are women systematically put down or discouraged from anything like Leo is trying to say.

Tell me Leo, in your delusional world, if Lara croft was instead Larry croft and a girl said he was hot, would you be on your soapbox right now? Or would you smarten up?

i would have said the exact damn thing. Sexual objectification is an issue to both men and women.

You still haven't shown that it's deeply rooted. Women ARE equally represented. Women haven't been "property" for well over a century in the United States. Women don't need protecting any more than men do. They're not special and unique snowflakes like how men aren't special snowflakes. They're human beings and can act for themselves.

haven't shown you proof? Like how people catcall and sexually harass and spit on women because they're "Whores" In their opinions? They're totally not a property. Women need protection from the extra violence they get. Whether you believe in that or not. Oh, And women are equally represented? How many female stories were accepted to go ahead without any trouble? Or without being called "A man's movie"? How many female directors are hollywood accepting openly?

sounds like Leo's not the only guy here that needs his bubble burst. Women arent equally represented. Maybe on paper, but most of the time its a man's game. Just ask your mom, or sister, or aunt. Heck, do what most guys on the internet do and pretend to be a girl. Its a pretty grim world. And Im serious about that bit about swapping genders for a bit. You learn a lot by wearing the other person's shoes. And like women's shoes tend to be, its very uncomfortable.
