Tomb Raider 2013 was scripted as well in their E3 demo. That game turn out very well. I have no concerns. Just hope they find someway to include Croft Manor into this game. Maybe use it as a training area like in previous games and mini sidequests to unlock goodies.

I think this game looks very boring and uninspired. The 2013 reboot ripped every mechanic it had and all of it's ideas from all of the big Triple-A games on the market at the time. This sequel just looks like more of the same. I'm not seeing anything original or unique about this game that makes me want to choose it over the games that it's ripping from. And just like 2013 it's going to be a super linear game that's only worth playing through once. I can't imagine anyone spending $60 on a game that has no replay value at all. Boggles my mind.

Honestly, this looks like the kind of game I would red box. I can't imagine anyone spending $60 on a game that has no replay value at all.
And this basic formula already showed up in old Tomb Raider games.
There's only so much you can do in a 20+ yr old adventure/platforming genre anyways. It's not like some big area of innovation. You're either love it or hate it.

Nothing truly amazing for gameplay(loving Lara's hunting suit) but I am curious about this "remnant" group. Are they the human guardians of the lost city or something more?
Also is it me or is this Trinity faction starting to sound more like a religious group than just a bunch of heavily armed tomb robbers.
I'm hooked on the story.

Heh, as if I'd even contemplate getting this game until its Definitive Edition is out. And that only if the game is good, really good. And THEN only during a sale. So effectively, we're talking late 2016/early 2017 if at all.
Square Enix can go kiss my whatever, because after what they pulled lately I'm not going to throw my wallet at them. A brick is more likely.

The point is Microsoft paid a ton of money to keep it exclusive for a while. Sony does it too though. They should both be ashamed.
