Thank you. :)

Wow you really have got some shady business deal going on with the mods haven't you? Remind me never to post another meme about you again.

I don't really care much for CGI trailers or climbing mountains IRL so I don't care if it's not realistic enough for these mountaineers. Go climb Olympus Mons you whiners!

As for the game, I thought the Tomb Raider reboot was great, I enjoyed it so I'm looking forward to this one. My only criticism of the first was that there wasn't enough tomb raiding but I understood why: for story reasons. I reckon we'll have plenty of tomb raiding in this one though.

I reported something and the mods took care of it. There's nothing shady about that.

"For some, Discovering the secrets of the world is the only way to live."

I'll wait till it gets released on PC.

What's with all the negativity? I thought the trailer was pretty decent and ominous. Just the way i like it.

It's a lame CGI teaser. They're a dime a dozen and they are all pretty ****. The TR reboot was molded after the Uncharted games, which is pretty ironic in it's own right, and as such I think it lost a good chunk of it's identity and became little more than just another by-the-numbers AAA experience.

The new Lara Croft design is actually pretty good, but the tombs were dumbed-down so much that it had me questioning why they even existed in the game at all. The gameplay itself (read: shooting people) did literally nothing to differentiate itself from it's peers and was for all intents and purposes a copy paste of every third-person-shooter in existence. The multiplayer was a tacked on and very mediocre experience that did nothing to support the single player component in any way.

Finally, the single player itself was far too linear and showed us all it had to offer the first time around; there was literally nothing to return to beyond the ridiculous collectathon nonsense these developers are so fond of these days. As a result, you're more likely to put the game down and never pick it up again once you finish it. As a $60 retail game, and much like Sony's The Order 1886, it's seriously lacking, but does make for a good rental. I expect little to change with it's sequel since we are after all talking about a franchise that is hell bent on being one of the staples in the AAA space.

Well, I can respond and argue with such criticism, But if you hate the game that much, Then you wouldn't be interested in watching the sequel's trailer. Just saying.

Criticism and hate are not the same thing. If you think I'm off the mark on something then by all means point it out and we'll discuss.

I actually think you have a few good points, But Tomb Raider has always been a guilty pleasure to me, Sometimes the story isn't that well-executed but the atmosphere and sense of exploring intrigues me. The trailer is brilliant because of the same reason, Its atmosphere and mysteriousness are superb. As for the original Tomb Raider reboot, It had its moments, But it wasn't big on exploration like the previous games and i disliked that. It being an uncharted model is something i can't judge since i have not played Uncharted. Because the game's sole purpose was to focus on Lara transition, On her overcoming her fear of her potential, Not on a Lara adventure. That's why i think the sequel is intriguing, It could become something truly interesting.

Fair enough. But I don't see how the origin story they wanted to tell for Lara in the reboot has anything to do with any of my criticism towards the game.

It addresses why they dumbed down the tombs a bit.

Just a bit? They took center stage and were the main attraction prior to the reboot. I think it's far more likely the devloper realized that most casual gamers, or people who are only interested in AAA games, don't like the idea of having to use critical thinking in order to solve puzzles. What they do like is shooting things --- a lot. You catch my meaning...

Hopefully they remedy that in this game.

Though the reboot was still pretty cool.

I hope they bring back the Bow.

That weapon was OP.

Game Informer confirmed she'll be able to switch between different kinds of bows

Some provide more range, others provide more power. The upgrade systems gonna be somewhat deeper in RotTR

We'll see soon enough with the sequel. If the tombs take center stage and the shooting takes a back seat, I'll concede that point. But I think we both know that isn't going to happen.

Comparing Tomb Raider 2013 to The Order 1886? Don't you think that may be a bit of a stretch?

No. One game lasts longer than the other, but they both lack replay value in the same way.

Actually, I think from the trailer, And the plot synopsis that she's looking for a buried hidden city, That's very likely to happen.

How is that relevant? She's always looking for something. It doesn't change the fact that she became Nathan Drake.

It's relevant because in the first one she's just looking for a way out. In the second one she's trying to prove that what she really saw on that island was real and she's trying to answer one of the world's unanswered questions. Therefore, She's exploring, Trying to find the truth. And the fact that they're pulling off another hidden city plotline supports my claim that they're focusing more on exploration in this game. And as i have stated, I haven't played Uncharted.
