I said people are talking about all kinds of things. It's not like it's veered away into some discussion purely on "objectifying women". Pick your battles right.
I really prefer the reboot. Mostly because i don't have to run around and kill all sorts of endagered animals all the time. It is also not the cheesy dual wield, short shorts and big breast type of a protagonist. The new Lara's voice, and the motion capture is incredible well done. Granted i didn't like the story that much, but she did a great job and everything about her story arc was very good. Also i really enjoyed the gameplay, alot because of the weapon feel and the camera. The camera in the game is just amazing.
So in brief, yes i am very excited for the next chapter in the reboot and it is the only reason i am gonna watch the Microsoft press conference this year. One question though, is it an Xbox One Exclusive?
Timed exclusive. Duration is not specified though, as far as I know.

And I was basically responding to an objectifying comment on this thread. I fail to see your point here.
I'm actually asking people to stop to sexually objectify women and to focus on the game as a whole, On the lore. That's what this thread was created for.
I wasn't aware that finding a woman attractive was "objectifying" her.
Do tell.

It's not that, it's that the constant thing people mention whenever they speak about women as how "Hot" a woman can be.

so saying you find a woman attractive is objectifying her?

Telling from his interaction with SimFam earlier, I think you're going to regret saying that.

No, It's because that's the main and defining quality you see in her. If you speak of the character as a whole and then state in the middle that she's attractive then I don't think that's a problem. The problem is when, As you said, You speak about female attractiveness as the defining trait of being a woman and it's your primary focus when it comes to females.

i think youre just overly sensitive and dont want men to express their attraction to the opposite sex. If a girl said the same thing about a guy I doubt youd be on your soapbox. Just because someone finds someone else attractive, it doesnt mean that person is imposing that attraction as the only thing about the other person.

Actually, I'd have said the same thing. There's no double standards here, Sexual objectification of men is also an issue but it's not as common as it's with females. And it's not about imposing, It's really an issue that most of the times the only thing women could be seen as is this "Hot" sexual object.
It's not that, it's that the constant thing people mention whenever they speak about women as how "Hot" a woman can be.
Because "hot" is synonymous with attraction, and it's not exclusive to women.

She's hot. You're the only one with a problem here.

I'm locked in a debate on the merits of feminism in another thread on another board, it's not like I'm going to hear anything I can't debunk here.

I have already explained that this not the issue.

No, You're just failing to see the meaning. Being attracted to the opposite sex is a normal thing to heterosexuals. The problem here is that the first and only thing you think about a woman is her level of attractiveness. Regardless of any other factor. And that "Is" sexual objectification. To see the opposite sex as a merely sex object.

Of course it's the first thing I think about when I see a woman, because what else could I possibly know about her? If I've never met a person (man or woman), literally the only information I have to work with on them is their appearance. I don't know their names, I don't know their ambitions, I know nothing of them. You say that like it's a bad thing. Also, lol @ presuming that it's the only thing I think about.
Oh, good thing you can tell me my presumptions. I forgot that I couldn't think for myself for a while there. Seeing a woman and thinking "hmm, she's cute" is the same as treating her like she's less than human.
Lara dies in the latest issue of Tomb Raider and is revived at the Fountain of Youth.

And that's not something right. That sex and sexual objectification is the number 1 priority to you. Wanna continue this, PM me. But for the meantime, Any sexually objectifying content will be reported. Please stay on topic.

Being attracted to a woman and saying she's hot does not mean that person only sees said woman as a sex object. To say you're overreacting would be an understatement.

Well, I'm sorry i take women rights seriously. As i said, Stay on topic, I think my inbox is a more suitable place for such subject.
Womens rights? I mean why just them? We are all humans and it doesn't matter what sex we are, what colour or skin has or what faith we belong to. We are all equals. Debating someones rights when we are all equal is pointless. I guess i just like to make it easier than always have to push some agenda. And when you see a person the first thing you are attracted to/curious about is their looks and gives the opening for dialogue to learn more, which enhances the experience. But as you said, lets be on topic.

thats a mighty big assumption. People arent so one-dimensional. Finding someone attractive isnt sexually objectifying them. I can find a woman attractive and that doesnt mean shes not a person to me, stop demonizing men.
