That first part was for some one else's quote.

To find good and stable games? the best advise i can give you is to quit pugs.

Add me to F.list,

You can still get infinite loading screens and crash to desktops with people that you've been playing with for a long time.

Did they really ban people who used the missile glitch in ME3? That's stupid. I didn't use that glitch, but it's a glitch, not a hack. Why would someone be help responsible for something the devs should simply patch out? Seriously, I hated it when people used that glitch, but no one should be banned for it.

To be fair, it did make the game trivial and it impacted their revenue greatly. They had to do something...

After Bioware was made aware of this "glitch", they made it very clear to the community that using it would result in a ban. Furthermore, they tried to fix it multiples times, they issued multiple ban waves and were very upfront concerning their position. So I don't see any excuse for repeat offenders and you can't really defend them...

Oh and to the people who say it doesn't matter, even games that aren't serious aren't fun when people cheat at them.  What bugs me more is the goofiness of it, if it was obvious who was cheating always it wouldn't matter as much.  Why is it some matches just seem easier than others?  Sometimes I think, am I losing my mind, or are my stats boosted subtly?

edit: Monopoly is fun when you cheat.  Only counter point I've got.

I've stepped into a lobby once where everyone deals over 60k damage per second on perilous... The dragon got killed even before he managed to land. Poor thing... Guess I can't really complain since I just went along with it and promoted my legionary twice in one morning. But I wonder if these sort of lobbies change the loot drop mechanism since all those perilous dragon runs didn't drop any decent dragon loot but only low lv blank?

The devs tried to patch it out like a half dozen times. No joke. Nothing simple about it. Remember when the Acolyte was randomly weaker but no longer charge-to-fire? Yeah, that was one attempt. Didn't work.

Exploiting a bug is the same as hacking to me, at least in the mentality of it. Why? Because hacking involves exploiting weaknesses or bugs as a key component of the process.

It was absolutely game-breaking watching an N7 Destroyer stand there and spam missiles while everyone else could literally do nothing.

I, for one, completely support banning people exploiting a game-breaking bug like that. The whole "PvE Co-Op" or "Developers Fault" justifications just not cut it in my eyes.

Obviously that's just my highly biased opinion, and should not be considered even remotely an authoritative or credible argument on the subject.

I doubt it changed the loot tables. I can say with my 15 recent perilous dragon kills, at least 12 of those were low level gray weapons. Still have yet to see a dragon weapon from any perilous dragon runs.

So...keep plugging away. Gray items are apparently totally normal from killing perilous dragons.

Fair enough. Guess I was just over thinking this then. But I suppose changing the loot table as a punishment for unusual game sessions (like doing a perilous dragon run in 3 minutes) could put some people off, I'd thought? Maybe thats something Bioware could try?

There have been several comments from pc users against cheating. That being said,I'm also on pc and completely disagree with the cheating and think ban waves should be implemented.Happy now?

So do I, but lets not pretend that it isnt completely the developers fault if they allow exploits and cheats to occur in their game. Plenty of games have effective anti cheating mechanisms build into them.

finding cheaters is simple. all the data is on server, so they only have to look at the people with a massive spending record with a dismal amount of time played.

say, acount XXX only played for 300 hours, but have already spent a gazillion on chests, and have all the unique items in game, and have never bought platinum.

this should be simple simple stuff with the right data analysis tool.

from the leadership board of the PC it doesn't look u usually high. Perhaps hacking gets so boring that they just go to something else. Besides why hack, you can leech totally legitimately, a highly promoted player has leeched me often, perhaps he/she is simply bored or wants to leech to the top since it can't be stopped.

Leaderboards wise it seems like things are little better today than they used to be in the past. It is hard to tell if there are new overt cheaters there or if the past high-profile cheaters are still cheating - though PC is still PC and it is sensible to remain somewhat skeptical.

However, hacked lobbies where players take no damage and do insane damage apparently still exist. I've never come across one because I don't pug, but I often hear or read about them.

Leechers get quite far on XB1 also, take our current rank one for example. I've seen him not move from zone one and running into walls pretending like he's playing more times than I care to remember.

If people are hacking PC then they aren't very good at it.

They still haven't overtaken you.

Hacking in DAIMP seems pointless to me and I doubt many people would do it anyway.

I'm on PS4 btw.

that seems to be true ^^ ... I played with a cheater once (huge damage output - like 50k per hit ) but he/she is not in the top 100

The fact that prestige and gold is server side makes it impossible to hack. Hacking hp and damage is client side, but you still have to grind a lot even if you hack. Do people hack in mp? Most likely. Do they profit from it? Hardly.

Considering that I almost always pug, I'm surprised I haven't found more of these, but it's only happened twice.

The first time, it was in zone 5 and the dragon was almost dead, so I didn't move and accepted a free dragon as payment for sitting through the loading screen. The second was a new game, and everyone had full guard from the offset. I quit, but not happily. I was having so much trouble finding a game that day, so to finally drop into a hacked lobby made me want to play something else.

Prestige is hackable and it has been overtly hacked by some individuals. Back in December, Anilinov and his runner-up were hundreds of points ahead of the competition. XxXHaHaHaVvV is also known as a cheater and was for some time the number one, way ahead of the legit players. I had a person on my Friends list who in 3 days earned 140 points and jumped from the 25th to the 7th position at that time.
How and why they do it, I don't know, I don't realy care. This should be Bioware's concern, not ours.

Oh they were very very right to ban glitchers.  You had to take specific actions to make it work.  It adversely affected the player base.

Why should I as a player have to waste my time quitting games because door knobs want to missile glitch or use the terrain glitches?  Letting people get away with it simply makes all scoring, achievements etc etc totally meaningless.

Nope, for once some people got their just deserts.

It has very little to do with PC vs consoles (heck, missile glitching always seemed to be much more rampant in ME 3 on XBL than on PC) but nice attempt at trolling.
