I started a new game not that long ago and want to play Jaws of Hakkon in it rather than my completed game but how do I know it downloaded ok etc.   I gather you do the Jaws of Hakkon from the war table but when does it show up?  I'm still in Haven in my present game so only about 6 or 7 hours into it.   I know you need to be around level 20 so I gather the quest wouldn't trigger for a while?   Thanks for the help....hope this is the right place to post this!

I believe you can go there after relocating to Skyhold. You're going to need really good gear to survive in the Frostback Basin. It was still pretty difficult as a level 24 on Casual. Those Avvars are pretty OP.

You can access the Frostback Basin as soon as you get access to the war table in Skyhold if I remember well. You also have a quest that triggers at that moment.

Jaws of Hakkon, I think, appears on the War Table when you first get to Skyhold. It doesn't outright highlight itself as DLC, not like in Origins where on the map Shale's place's icon appeared in bright yellow, but you should see "Investigate the Frostback Basin" or something along those lines.

You can do it any time, but it's designed for post-main-game play, level-wise.

Yuph, shows up at Skyhold, lower corner of Ferelden map if you haven't found it already. Just unlock it like any other area and enjoy. It's damn beautiful too.
