A possible idea on new schematics

For example a bow grip that gives you 10% chance to proc immolate, a dagger than has 10% chance to proc stealth, a greadsword that can activate poison cloud etc. These ability schematics would obviously need to take the place of a grip, haft or pommel etc. And at 10% chance they should not be overpowered. You would effectively be scarificing some crit chance or HOK etc for it.
Thoughts?

Hmmm, what about being able to masterwork an ability into a weapon? The chance for success would be low, and would not remove previous masterworks unless it was successful. Maybe get masterwork parts from completing matches, which you then put into the slots and then roll the dice.

Great idea. I like it. A part of me is sad every time I salvage cool-looking Level 7 Unique weapons.

Yeah that could work also, at the end of the day anything that increases variety in this game can be seen as a positive and will no doubt extend the games life-spanHmmm, what about being able to masterwork an ability into a weapon? I've always wanted to craft a giant nug.....
I once dreamed of a large, fluffy nug. . . ![]()

I want to craft one of those Venatari swords that can block anything, who needs a shield when you have one of those bad boys
Twelve projectiles with one hand or cutting down knives with a sword is not bad for a Padawan.
Imagine if they graduated, they would whield Venatori Archers instead of swords as melee weapons.
OT: Yes please. In general letting the Schematics feature go to waste is a shot in the foot right there; it would boost longevity and the loot pool vastly for long-time motivation. Anything that breaks the "2 viable weapons at best per class" fashion gets my vote.

I remember going behind a sleeping soldier activate leaping shot only for him to wake up and block them all like a pro. I still have now idea how they can block things like immolate and longshot etcTwelve projectiles with one hand or cutting down knives with a sword is not bad for a Padawan.

I suggested a while ago that low level weapons could be combined with other weapons to "bolster" them and add a low percentage of one of their base stats, up to a capped amount. This way eventually using highland dirks I could level up audacity, or grunsmanns bow etc to a level perhaps around that of an elusive icebow and carta fang. Certainly useable, still not quite on the level of botg or uber daggers.

Meh the Ventari has more strate-skill, he can do it with only 1 sword

I wasnt specifically talking about low level uniques...These ability schematics could be applied to any weapons that have a slot other than a rune.Adding abilities to low level uniques would still not make them useable for me, unless you could reliably increase their damage output by a fair margin. However, the concept of adding abilities via masterwork schematics sounds just fantastic.

Good ideas - here are some abilities I consider for that:
Stealth on Hit!
Lose pants on being hit!
Play custom user commentary on Hit!
Enter Mushroomland on Equip!
Increase Golddropchance on Kill!
BSN_Autopost Userpraise on Teammate_revived!

I really like the idea and the potential variations they could go with.
This would have been amazing when I was grinding for what seemed like forever with the level 23 Zealot staff. Just pop on a unique "trait" and have fun! I really think they should have mastercraft slots just like single player. Add in the materials too and we would be set. Something to strive for. Uniques and rares with traits do not have them, of course. Would be cool if you could upgrade their traits by investing materials or something. Maybe make those duplicates you receive give a boost to the one you keep when you salvage; or make it a choice. I've got three Longbow of the Griffons, one for each rune, and I've salvaged two. Would be nice if they added damage, or armor penetration, or the damage done by the other two arrows. Nothing outrageous, but something to not make it not hurt so much when you don't get something new.
Edit:
Further example, any duplicate staves are utterly useless unless they have higher damage. I've salvaged at least 3 or 4 Fury of the Veil staves. Would be nice if each one had added 1 or 2% proc chance for Veilstrike, maximum being 10%, naturally. Heck, I would settle for .5%, haha.

Plus:
Imagine your idea gets through! You could claim your interlexual property and demand royalties for using them. For real, not like people do now for lame character builds.

A maul that has a chance 10% to cause combat roll on hit would be my invention!Plus:

Scrub weapon! You need to put a lot of thought behind it. A bow that has the berserker perk and activates bodyguard on kill. I call it the bow of salty tears
