I hope they get rid of the reputation system. Or atleast make it abit more show don't tell. I hated having it in the pipboy. Rather have factions recognizing me for what i have done and not stuff i can metagame. Make it way more dynamic.

I'd prefer if they got rid of the Karma system, if only to discourage Bethesda from building the story choices around it,

When do you get to create the Courier's backstory? To me, that was one of the most glaring omissions in FO:NV - I'm playing this person who has apparently been working in the general area for a while, but I seem to know nothing about the conflict over the dam, who the major players in the different factions are, or what they want. The only time I get any reference to my past is when I can say I saw somebody's musical act before and the stuff with Ulysses in the Lonesome Road DLC.

Most of it is open enough for you to fill your own gaps to your backstory, through various ways. But with the help of certain perks and intelligence levels, dialogue options appear for the player to shape the character. I recall options displayed certain locations the Courier has been too, whether you know or not where you were born, not knowing what fish is, and even a discussion with Drifter that hints that you impregnated a woman once in his life.

And that is only mentioning a few.

Like Bethesda would ever do that.

I don't know. It's not much different than the Stormcloaks.

I think Beth can look over their writing problems by just making FO4 as fun and crazy as it can be.

Give me a gang who ride on Bicycles because they're afraid to Pollute the environment with further CO2 emissions. They fight with sticks, stones and bows against the evil industrialists called the Brotherhood of Steel.

I want to laugh at the ridiculousness but Fallout 2 had talking Deathclaws and Scientologists and still managed to work out somehow.

And after you spend time with the faction you find out that it's far bigger than you initially thought. You head to their HQ which is a greenhouse and everybody inside is naked since it's boiling.

You walk a long a long red carpet to find a throne on a dais.

Upon further inspection you realise that what they're worshipping is a "Keep Green" info leaflet from pre-war days.

We already have a better plot then FO3.

Agree to that aswell. I rather liked having your dad in FO3 commenting on how you acted and what you had done though, was a nice summary of your way to play. Still i feel that karma and reputation systems shouldn't be in any games. NPC's should just react to decisions we made, for better or worse.

Yeah.

But tbh.

It's like "bad boy, don't commit genocide!"

Not a real consequence xD

I agree too. Skyrim didn't gave some moral punishment for stealing or otherwise. So long as you didn't got caught the worse you had to worry about were the hired thugs. I kind of hope FO4 follows on that kind of line.

I agree with concerns about another vault dweller/lone wander clone from the trailer. That was great for fallout 3 but I really don't want this to be a prisoner thing from the elder scrolls.

I'll have a Pawn shop that screwed up with its sign into a Porn shop. The Sign has like this makeshift A and W over the O and R but people still walk in looking for porn.

The release date on amazon is 31 December 2015 , a bit strange probably a placeholder date , so I guess a early 2016 release is possible.

Which page is the trailer?

There's a separate thread floating around with it.

OP would be a bro if they updated the first post of this thread with it.
