I want to see close to NV balancing, ammunition variety, DT and the awesome crafting in NV my self. Of course also add some new stuff but I hope they use more stuff from NV then FO3.
Tho one thing I do hope is they don't make the same mistakes with NV with energy weapons. Was disappointed they where pretty weak in NV(where rifles/revolvers where OP as hell)

I was comparing the wussyclaws to the deathclaws in NV.
I killed a cave of deathclaws in NV by punching them in the crotch.
With Mr. Pushy. I think I might have rag-dolled killed a baby deathclaw with its own mother.

I don't know how much of the NV system they can copy-paste, but I hope the answer is 'most of it.' Playing FO3 after FNV is painful in the simplicity of things.
On the other hand, FO3 did have one great advantage over FNV- the custom crafted weapons were actually cool.
The rock-it launcher was great for trash, the shish-kabob was cool post-apocalyptic melee at its finest... but the rail canon? That was just cool.
The poison dart gun was OP as ****, though. Made all melee enemies incredibly easy.

If they do copy NV's balance I hope they fix the ridiculous amount of healing items you got. I was wandering around with like 30 stimpacks before I even reached Vegas.

I had 200 before I reached BoS HQ in FO3. XD

Fallout 3's balance issues was less healing items and more becoming immortal as you tend to do in bethesda games.

Yeah, NV got the balance a lot better and you never got too OP. I always felt that as badass as the Courier got, the Mojave Wasteland was just as dangerous and had a couple tricks to take me down if I let myself get too complacent and stopped paying attention.
Unlike FO3, where the Lone Wanderer was way too powerful for his own good. I loved the character, but sometimes I did question how a 19-year-old kid with no prior experience of life outside the Vault could master the Capital Wasteland, a veritable warzone for over 200 years, almost instantly?
Biggest thing was the perks, honestly. They were painfully scarce in FNV, but in FO3 it was one god damn power up after another. It took practically no time to max out useful combat stats and your first-pick non-combat skills.

If the deathclaw gaunlet is in the game, I'll be happy. So much fun.
If I can increase my carrying weight, I like to have an M61 Vulcan for a weapon. Lots of fun. If not, have it mounted on a Vertibird to use.
I also like to see Knock-Knock make a come back. It was a unique axe in Fallout New Vegas

I want Power Armor customization. Like you can install a small MG on your shoulder pad, like War Machine in Iron man. Installing nightvision into the helmet etc. Also some deeper weapon modifications would be great. Fallout New Vegas added alot of gameplay stuff i want in Fallout 4 and see no reason it shouldn't be there. The crafting, ironsights(duh) and hardcore mode is essential.

Hopefully Bethesda does add night vision scopes and Cateye from NV, improve it and add more similar things.

I also hope they make a slightly more immersive hardcore mode. In NV all you needed to do was to sleep a single hour and tada! You're as fresh as water. Weapon mods sound good too. Perhaps a meele function when using fire weapons.

I dunno. I always liked the Q-35 Matter Demodulator. YOu can get it early and it stays useful for a long long time.

I love NV and think it did a better job with balance, too, but...

Agreed. There hasn't been a Bethesda game yet (or a Fallout game yet) where insane amounts of absolute curb stompage was possible with some power leveling.

Complain all you want. Dislike whatever games you want and keep throwing jabs at things you don't like. But isn't there anything you could like about Fallout 4?
Are they referring to the random vampire attacks from Dawnguard?
I ended up with the bug (on 360) where vampires would attack every time I entered a cell. Winterhold, Dawnstar, Falkreath, Shor's Stone, Ivarstead, Morthal, Dragon Bridge, and other minor locations were completely empty because I had vampires spawning just because I happened to run by them.
That was also the response I got (and a handful of others that posted about it) from Bethesda on their forums along with the trolling by other members saying "You suck! It's a feature! Stop complaining noob! Get the game on PC console peasant!".
Nothing made me laugh more than when Bethesda finally announced that there was indeed a bug with Dawnguard that caused excessive vampire attacks for "some" people.

In some ways, I think it was too good. When you get weapons like that, everything else becomes junk and vendor trash. In some ways, I prefer having/needing to switch out every once in awhile.
At the same time.... the repair skill in FO3 was broken because of how weapon value scaling worked. Weapons went from being horrible caps/lb to the best because of the exponential worth they had towards the upper percentiles of repair.
Come to think of it, 'repair' was pretty much the only really useful non-combat skill in FO3. Unlike FNV, where there was almost always a non-violent approach of two for any quest, FO3 was a lot, lot heavier on combat grinds through dungeons. You could try and sneak if you wanted, but the chinese stealth suit more or less nixed most of that. Otherwise, there was a whole lot more focus on combat.

They absolutely have to. Lady Killer is one of the first couple of perks I take. Fair's fair.
Yup, the combat boost is nice and the dialog just opens good RP value and ways to finish quests.

Pfft, melee weapons and rifles... what's the point in being a post-apocalyptic retro-futuristic universe if you're not going to use frickin' laser beams!
(While underpowered in NV, they make up for it by rule of cool)
