I think with Eric Todd Dellums leak way back when that we "would be seeing more of the Dog" and the GNN (just a slight variation off of GNR [Galaxy New Network, maybe??], but with the same graphic) sign you see with the BOS soldier lifting off in the Vertibird, I'm thinking we are going to be within a reasonable time frame of the events in the DC Wasteland...OR...Three-Dog's voice is recorded and on continuous playback, which is going to still put us after FO3 events.

Also, I think the trailer alludes to civilization beginning to take hold again.

Well, technically it had already in the west. I still don't recall the reasoning for why the eastern coast was still desolated though.

What if it wasn't a nuke, but something else with not quite as much reach as an atom bomb (I'm assuming in atom bombs not having as much of a blast radius, not sure)?

Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't even have considered if any of them survived, but the guy in the 111 Jumpsuit at the end looks exactly like the guy with his wife and baby when the blast happens.

If you're close enough to see the flash....

If the montage isn't deceptive , the whole part before and during the bomb could be a nightmare the Vault Boy is having , one where he and his family didn't make it.

If the cryo rumors are true , well it doesn't have to be just a couple of years after the bomb , also well I'm not sure it would be possible , the level of radiation would be really bad almost everywhere.

If the guys wakes up and he's the only one left in the Vault and his family is not there , well it's a good reasons to get out and try to find out what the hell happened.

Or the vaults being the vaults , the family got killed before the whole freezer thing (I have a hard time picturing a newborn surviving that somehow) ...maybe the people responsible for the Vaults lied and only wanted the best soldiers or whatever and they got rid more or less discreetly of the famillies.

Or the pc got turned into a bot , (I don't like the idea of playing an android but wtv) and again he wakes up all alone blablabla ...

Yet at that (apparent) close range and in full-view of the detonation without any means of cover, shouldn't the flash from the bomb have been far more fatal or damaging to them, long before the blastwave got anywhere near them?

Then again, even as dark as Fallout gets, Bethesda isn't likely to want to show people (including a baby) getting set on fire in the trailer?

What if it was just a promo and has nothing to do with the actual game?

Physically impossible. Not even worth entertaining.

What if they are on the elevator and it is going down as the bomb goes off? A tiny possibility.

Elevator doors, even lead lined one, are still not likely to prevent occupants from being cooked alive like Poptarts in a toaster.

But hey, it's not realize Fallout strives to achieve anyway. Otherwise there would be nothing left in the world, period.

I kinda love how Vault Boy's eye sockets are have the same cog-like indentation as the Vaults.

They're still dead and they were not on a moving platform.

I'm not too familiar with atomic bombs, but it appears that they were close to the detonation because it did not take too long for shock waves to hit the area that they were standing in. Either way, they would be instantly killed or die from radiation poisoning shortly after.

Also, they showed what appears to be gameplay, and I am yet again disappointed by Bethesda. You'd think they'd be able to figure out how to do a non-crappy running animation by now...

Exactly, even if they somehow evaded the shockwave and entered the vault they were already the walking dead. The second that bomb detonated the Gamma Rays and X-Rays had already passed through their bodies destroying their cells and so on. It's not a good way to die, not that there usually is a good way.

So think Bethesda is gonna try to monetize Mods again with Fallout 4?

Very likely. Steam's stance on the matter indicates that they will try again when they get the right opportunity. Still, I hope they don't. I'm quite worried about XCOM 2, Total War: Warhammer and Fallout 4 in this regard.

I swear if they try to make money off the unofficial patch that fixes they thing they wouldn't....

Wow, never again will I complain about the prices of video games in the U.S. again. I just left the Bethesda FO4 forum where there is a post about the Steam pre order( Fallout 4 ) for citizens of Brazil and it's cost of R$249.99... holy ---- !

Which for me translates into $104.32 Aussie Dollarydoos which is US$79.55. Doesn't seem so far fetched considering game prices in places that aren't the US or Eastern Europe.

Yeah, it's easy for me to forget I got it kind of easy. Still, I think that would come out to a little over U.S.$118.00. Man, that's kind of rough.

Almost certainly. This time they'll bake it in from the start.

$104 Dollarydoos? How much of that is the Dingo Tax?

I wonder how will it work. Will you have to pay for all mods or will only higher quality mods be charged for? If its the former, they best have quality control to avoid pissing off the masses.
