Do all Grey Wardens wear heavy armor?

I can kinda understand it if you're a mage since it shouldn't interfere with spell casting and battlemages are an actual thing.
But rogues need to be able to move freely.

They have lighter armor that they wear. I play on PC and download some nice looking armors but they are lighter.

If so, does it make any sense for a Grey Warden to be a rogue?

Actually, it can interfere with mages as heavy armor carries a certain level of fatigue, and fatigue works against mages in how much mana their spells cost. it's why Arcane Warriors have such a time casting spells-Combat Magic carries a 50.0 % fatigue penalty, added on to any other sustains they have going. It's less a problem in Awakening with anti-fatigue runes and more mana, but it can be a problem in origins.

Only warriors wear heavy armor
Any character with High Strength can wear heavy armor within DAO and DAO:A. in the case of the Arcane Warrior, High Magic Score. Well Grey Wardens recruits people from all stripes. As for Rogues, Grey Wardens needs a good scout in their ranks. Duncan and Riodan(end game) are consider to be Rogues. Sometimes Underhanded is good.

Not all grey wardens no I would imagine it depends on what class of character they aer much like a normal character. In my mage playthrough I started in robes the switched to light armour when I was able to as I found that better for defensive purposes. In my current Dwarven Warrior one I just used the best armour I could find but then as a warrior you can wear any armour pretty much.

As of DA2 and DA:I, Wardens have 2 different sets of warrior armor (one has more plating than the other, from what I've seen), a set of medium armor for rogues, and another set of armor for mages. In DA:O, they can wear pretty much any type of armor.
Granted, in DA:O, Templars could only be S&S or 2-hander warriors, yet in DA2 we see plenty of dual-wield rogues and archers, but no 2-hander warriors (strictly speaking about faceless NPCs). In DA:I, they're either 1-hander warriors, S&S tanks, or archers (no, Red Templars don't count). So, really, I'd just go with saying that the Wardens can wear any kind of armor they want.
But then, maybe I'm overthinking this.... ![]()

When I first played, I assumed most were wearing heavy armor just to make them look different from the soilders. In most battle Cutscenes, the Ferelden soilders (excluding Loghain) seem to all be wearing Light armor, or very rarely Splint/Chainmail (Medium armor). Just my opinion, though.
Lorewise, I'd think they would want more Frontline warriors, because that's more potential Archdemon killers.

In Dragon Age: Origins the Grey Wardens serving under Duncan did not have any uniforms or regalia, instead being portrayed as an almost ragtag force of veterans wearing whatever they had. Even in the Warden's Keep DLC only Sophia Dryden had any armor bearing Grey Warden emblems and in Awakening none of the Orlesian Wardens had such armor. Fast forward to Dragon Age II and the Grey Wardens have a staple blue and grey armor style with the gryphon proudly embossed on either the chest or the shoulders. In the post Dragon Age II canon both Grey Wardens and Templars have been noted to wear a wide array of armors for Warriors and Rogues and, in the case of the Grey Wardens, for mages as well.
Now granted, my Arcane Warrior struts around in Grey Warden commander armor because it is freaking awesome.
