I have arachnophobia. It can get pretty intense sometimes. I have played the first 2 Dragon Age games. Yes, they had spiders. But, they had mods created by people that replaced the spiders in the game with different assets. Bears and dogs. So, when I purchased DA3, I figured I would find the mod that did the same thing.

 

Much to my surprise I found there were no mods for DA3. And there are spiders in this game. I tried playing the game. I wasn't able to create the style of character I usually play. I almost always make a melee character. Couldn't do it here. 

 

So, if Bioware will not allow consumers to create mods for DA3, then I would like for them to develop one that would replace spiders in the game with, let's go with bears again. 

 

Without this mod, I cannot play this game anymore. At all. Which is some lost money to EA. Granted not much since I'm only one person. But every little bit helps.

 

And, yes, this is my first ever post to the forums. No, I am not a new account created by someone else. I just want to be able to play the game I bought.

I don't have arachnophobia as bad as yours, and have to agree that spiders in this game look eerily detailed and big, but I doubt that Bioware or EA are officially going to release a patch resolving this issue, honestly, so you're pretty much at the mercy of the modding community. Perhaps you should suggest this idea in the modding subsection here: http://forum.bioware...dding-projects/ but from what I understand, modding of DAI is still very limited so it's not even certain whether or not such a mod is even possible to make.... All I can say is hope for the best.

There are mods to make meshes invisible, so maybe if the right people look at this and decide to do it, it's possible.

 

Stay clear of the Jaws of Hakkon dlc, there's spiders (that trigger combat every couple of seconds and are extremely annoying) all over the place.

That sucks. I don't think they'll ever not put spiders in their games, but that shouldn't keep you from enjoying the game.

Spiders got turned into orange blobs very early: http://daitools.free...ts-t393-10.html, but replacement is almost impossible as far as I understand which isn't much, with no toolset forthcoming it might still be awhile.

I kind of have arachnophobia but for some reason this game and the previous two don't seem to affect me that much. Either that, or my arachnophobia isn't as bad as I thought. I do remember playing the first Resident Evil on Playstation and couldn't get very far
